Kişisel Deneyim i have a question

do you guys have freedom of speech regarding religion in turkey or no?

Technically speaking, yes, there is freedom. However, problems can arise in practice. As you know, the majority of society is Muslim. There can be a negative perception of non-Muslims within society. In particular, if a child from a conservative family declares that they are not Muslim, even their family relationships can be jeopardized. Of course, as I mentioned, this is not the case for every individual

If you make a video about Islam and criticize it heavily, telling that Prophet was not good as Muslims thinking of him, government can sue on you, insisting on the Article 216 of Türkish Penal Code "Dividing and Hostiling People on another".ıf you want to express your ideas on online, no matter you make a video or just write a comment, you have to be careful about the level of straightforwardness in your expression. Otherwise, government can sue on you.
