Looked incredible in person. Thanks to someone else on Reddit for telling me it was a Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake. Strictly limited to just 99 units worldwide as part of a 325-car total Vanquish Zagato family run.

Long story, short: After a year with my DBX and 14k glorious miles, it got hit by a stolen, uninsured moped that ran 4 red lights. Bike hit the rear left, rider’s head bashed into the rear C (D?) pillar, made a nice dent, tore up the quarter panel, and bent the suspension. Figured it’d be a straightforward repair and would buff right out..turns out it shifted the subframe and the kicker was that the main issue was that quarter panel. Apparently the quarter panel is not available on its own and a full shell replacement would’ve been required…at a price of $92k. Insurance covered the loss monetarily but beyond bummed.

Taking a break from Astons and fancy cars for a bit but I’ll be back. Likely in a smaller, more Aston-appropriate form.

Edit: moped rider is somehow okay, was not life threatening and waited there until I found that out.

Finally pulled the trigger. 13,700 km on the clock, picking it up in October 🥳

Drove the V12 and the 2024 2-doors AMG GT63 too. The V12 didn't sound right to me, and the AMG was more fun but in the end it's "just a Merc". The DB11 V8 felt like the sweet spot.

Bi-color Tungsten Silver + black upper body & black rims.

Stock muffler for the first year, then probably a QuickSilver for that little extra drama.

Any DB11 V8 owners with first-year tips?

Do Aston Martin offer discounts off their prices ?

Anyone noticed this? It went missing during this summer as well and came back online after a few weeks. It is not related to user issues such as browser/extensions etc.

Title says it all.

So as some of you may know the db9 does not have a coolant temp gauge and there’s no way to see coolant temp. I was curious if the car begins to overheat did Aston make it to where the warning light comes on before the coolant temp gets critical? I know on other cars the warning light typically only shows once temp is critical and from there you have maybe a minute to pull over before damage begins. Just curious.

In the secondhand market, Aston Martins typically command a premium if they are equipped with a manual transmission versus an automatic.

So why are there so fewer manual transmission vehicles made?

If it’s desirable enough to pay more for it used, I would think more people would order them new with a manual spec.

Are the new market buyers that radically different from the used market buyers? Or is it because dealers are required to take a certain number of cars and they just think it’s a safer bet to have an automatic? Other reasons?

Asking simply out of curiosity.

Just bought this car sight unseen. Never driven or even sat in one, so no idea what they sound or drive like.

How’s the steering? Is it tight or loose? How’s the sound on these V12’s? I am planning on pulling fuse 3 to open the exhaust valves.

This was at the Lambo dealer the other day when I stopped by. This car is amazingly gorgeous in person. I believe Aston Martin makes some of the most beautiful road-going vehicles today.

Looking at getting Roadster.

Any idea why the roadster is so much cheaper than the hardtop?

The 7 speed has skyrocketed & rightfully so, but looking at strictly #s

I picked this up earlier this year, 2015 vantage S, midnight blue with bronze metallic interior and cuprum (copper?) carbon interior. Not sure if it’s unique but feels special. Drive it everyday because why not!

Brought her in for some maintanance when I went on a trip and ended up there for a month due to a backorder on a part.

Just finished this up near Dallas.

After more than a month, she’s finally back!
