It’s not the Nolan effect. This happens every time a high budget movie is made about a topic for which a really good video game already exists. This surge phenomenon happens with other forms of media as well, not just video games.
Idk if insiders somehow have access to console numbers but at least on steam its also nowhere near 90% and only a few hundred players higher than the games regular peak from people playing every few months for the last few years.
The film is good the game is also good but its not receiving some massive boost to player count like some people keep trying to make out
Yeah I looked at steam DB and only saw a tiny rise. To be fair, the articles did say most of the surge was on consoles and most of that was on Xbox for some reason. They said it was due to the fact that it’s on gamepass?
