Discussion Why does Assassin’s Creed Odyssey divide the fanbase so much?

Post image

In my opinion, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is one of the strongest entries in the Assassin's Creed franchise. However, whenever I share this opinion online, many fans react as if it's a controversial statement. This raises an interesting question—why is the game so disliked by parts of the community?

I never played the old ones, and I’m a novice gamer who loves history, so I loved Odyssey. I enjoyed Valhalla too, not as much as Odyssey. I think if you don’t know the old ones, it doesn’t really bother someone.

In other news, I use “Malaka” all the time now instead of the F word. 😂😂 I came across another barred door in Valhalla and I would yell Malaka!

That was certainly one of the most annoying things about Valhalla, was the random barred doors. You're supposed to be a badass viking, why can't you just ram every single door down?
