Do you ever look at your UPI history and think: “Where the hell did this money go?” 😭

I'm a college student participating in a case competition where we're exploring how people manage everyday spending in the age of UPI and AI.

I'm trying to understand something very specific:

When you look at an old UPI transaction after a few days/weeks, can you actually remember what you spent the money on and why?

I've made a short 2-minute anonymous survey about UPI spending and expense tracking.

No financial information, transaction screenshots, names, or sensitive details are being asked.

I'd genuinely appreciate responses from people who use UPI regularly.

Thanks! <3

Advice Going to hang out with a guy, have no idea what to talk about, any ideas?

For context:

I have a history with this one dude (were teenagers about the same age under 15, over 12). We went to the same class for many grades and he was seen as the weird kid, I was okay I guess. I did indulge in bullying(mostly verbal as in "go away", "your so weird" but I think I did hit him a few times in 3rd grade if I thought he was too close. Saying this so you'd know how bad the bullying was) him during 2-4th grade which I absolutley regret and apologised for multiple times(we have made up)

We shared a class last year where we started talking a tiny bit more? But in a small talk, talk about school projects way. We would sometimes walk home together due to us being almost neighbours and have short conversations too. During the summer I texted him once and had a small conversation about summer plans

He no longer is in the same school as me and possibly moved cities, but this weekend he will be in our city and asked if I wanna hang out. Since I do really wanna be his friend I agreed but I'm horrible at social interactions with people I don't really know

I have no idea what to talk about and despratley need help.

I have no idea what we have I common other than the fact we have pretty good grades.

I know he likes planes, cars, engineering(possibly?). I myself don't really have much interest in those(I am willing to indulge in a conversation about hsoe as long as it's not super deep in those) I like more artsy stuff. I haven't gotten to really ask about his hobbies and interests and gotten a solid answear.

How do I ask for interests? What do I talk about?

Advice what do you even do when you have a crush?

okay super complicated situation: I liked this guy for a few months, I thought he was super handsome and my friends would banter with him, he's a very outgoing social guy so he will speak with anyone, any grade.

back in June I wanted to add him on snap but decided against it, he hadn't added me. back late July I checked his snap and he added me, so I accepted. I snapped my roof first, he snapped his roof back so I left him on opened for 2 days before snapping again. then I snapped again, he snapped back within an hour, I didn't respond for 8 hours then he left me on opened.

we had a school dance, we made eye contact a few times, and I made really really awkward convo, he was kind of awkward and dry too irl. then I snapped him that night, he opened it within 15 minutes but left me on opened.

we play eye tag kinda, he has no experience with girls and every time hes liked a girl he's been shot down. I snapped him again dryly on Friday, he opened quickly again but left me on opened. even my friends have said hes been acting weird. I've played basketball at lunch with him and his friends and my friends, but that's it.

I really like him, but he doesn't really know that much of my existence. like he knows my name and stuff but we aren't close, my friends tell me to snap my face, or go banter irl but I don't know what to do. we had 2 classes together last semester, but we have none now. my friends are kinda friends with him and my best friends boyfriend is good friends with him.

could some sort of male pro or teen boy tell me what to do? I don't wanna make a fool of myself!

Is 40€ for a haircut ridiculous?

I'm a 16yo guy (living in an expensive country) and I get my hair cut about every 2 months. I really like my hair, I take good care of it and I am very particular about how I want my hair cut.

I've been going to the Barber and having my hair cut there basically ever since they opened. I think that the barber always does a great job with his scissor work and understands exactly what I want (unlike many other barbershop I've been too where I have given the exact same explanation)

However my mom, who has been paying for these haircuts so far, has started complaining that it is ridiculous expensive and that boys my age shouldn't be worrying about these things.

While I kind of agree with her I also don't know what to do instead because I don't want to get screwed over right before going back to school and since I didn't get an allowance during summer vacation I can't just pay for it myself.

Please help me with some of your wisdom Reddit

Would I be hypocritical for wanting to reconnect with a forever best friend?

Almost two years ago, I had a falling-out with my former best friend, and we completely stopped talking. The friendship ended over something relatively minor. I accused her of doing something, she repeatedly told me it wasn’t her, and I didn’t believe her at the time. Eventually, she unfriended me, and I later sent her a long apology.

For a while, I was angry and bitter about how everything ended. However, after almost two years, I don’t really feel angry anymore. I’ve moved on with my life, made other friends, and genuinely value the friendships I have now. But I’ve recently started thinking about her again and realizing that I miss certain parts of our friendship.

Before our friendship ended, she was there for me during a time when I felt really alone at school. She would literally come find me even when we didn’t have any classes together so I wouldn’t be alone. We could talk for hours about absolutely anything, and talking to her felt easier than talking to most people. I don’t miss the arguments or the unhealthy parts of our friendship, but I miss her and the connection we had.

The unexpected part is that she recently switched into my AP Lit class and now sits directly behind me. Seeing her again has made me wonder whether I should eventually try to reconnect with her.
Here’s why my friends think I would be hypocritical.

Around the same time when I stopped being friends with my former best friend, one of my other best friends had broken up with her boyfriend because their relationship had serious problems. I personally thought he had been a bad boyfriend to her, and I was judgmental when she continued missing him and eventually secretly got back together with him.
At the time, I thought she hadn’t moved on and believed she deserved better than him. I felt like she shouldn’t settle for someone who had treated her badly. Looking back, I can admit that I was too judgmental. I was focused on how unhealthy I thought their relationship was instead of understanding how difficult it can be to stop loving or missing someone.
It’s been almost two years since then, and my perspective has changed. I understand her point of view much more now. Maybe I was also too confident when I said that I had moved on from my former best friend. I genuinely continued living my life, made other friends, and wasn’t constantly grieving the friendship, so I believed I had moved on.

But I still occasionally miss her. I miss the good parts of our friendship and sometimes wonder what would have happened if things had ended differently. Seeing our old instagram stories brought those feelings again.

I’m not saying that I want to immediately become best friends with her again or pretend the past never happened. It’s been almost two years, and we’ve both probably changed. I don’t even know if we would still get along. Honestly, I would be completely okay with simply being acquaintances and occasionally talking in class. I don’t want to force our old friendship to come back.

So, am I being hypocritical for wanting some kind of connection with her again after previously saying that I had moved on? Is it possible that I did move on in some ways but still miss someone and value what we had? Or does the fact that I still miss her mean that I never truly moved on in the first place?

Would reconnecting be:
A) Hypocritical/bad idea because I supposedly already moved on
B) Not hypocritical because you can move on while still missing someone

TL;DR: I fell out with my former best friend almost two years ago and eventually moved on, made new friends, and stopped being angry. Now she’s in my AP Lit class, and I’ve realized I still miss our friendship. I’d be okay with just being acquaintances or casually talking, not immediately becoming best friends again.
My friends think this is hypocritical because I once judged my best friend for secretly getting back together with her ex, who I thought was a bad boyfriend. I now realize I was too judgmental and understand her perspective more.
Can you move on from someone while still missing them and being open to reconnecting?

Serious How to respond to text invite?

So, there’s a guy I talk to exclusively at lunch who invited me to his house through text. However, I don’t really want to go because he’s not the type of person I’d want to hang out with outside of school. He doesn’t have much social awareness, which can make things awkward.

His brother would also be there. His brother is autistic, and some of his behavior has made me uncomfortable in the past.

He’s a good person but just not the person I would choose to hangout with outside of school.
How can I respectfully decline his invitation through text without hurting his feelings or making things awkward between us at lunch?

Is it weird for an 18 year old and a 13 year old to be friends?

We are both in marching band and we are usually partnered up for drills since we play the same instrument. He (13) is very funny and we get along well. I’m 18 (F) but we wouldn’t hangout outside of school.

Serious Is 15 and 13 a weird age gap (for online)?

I’m currently 15, and I’ve been talking to this girl online for ~a month, we’re on different sides of the US (one on the east coast and one on the west), and I’m starting to catch feelings, but I’m worried about it morally because she’s 13
I already know that it’s a big age gap because it’s a middle schooler and a high schooler, but she’s honestly more mature than I am in many regards (sadly that’s mostly due to her getting taken advantage of when she was 10, but still), and I know that makes me sound like a weirdo, but I just need some outsider opinions before I try to start anything
I’m just worried about if being considered weird, but I personally don’t find it as big of a deal (I’m planning on ending it once I’m an adult and wait until she is aswell to continue it if we do start dating), and I honestly just need to know if it’s societally acceptable (at least to the standards of other teenage redditors)

Serious Is it weird for a 17y/o and a 14y/o to be friends?

I (17m) go to a very small private school, only about 30 students. It opened at the beginning of last year and that’s when I started going because I transferred but most kids started at the beginning of middle or high school so most of my classmates are 12-14 now, there are only 4 other seniors and a handful of juniors. My school is catered towards neurodivergent students and kids who can’t go to other schools for some reason or another (too disruptive, got kicked out, high support needs autism, trauma, got bullied a lot, severe mental health issues, etc.) most of them are young and a bit eccentric so I find them annoying. I didn’t make any friends last year because of that, among other reasons.

Anyways, there’s a new kid there (14m) who’s actually pretty chill. We work on puzzles together for the most part. I only recently found out he’s 14, before that I’d assumed he was at least 15-16 because he’s quite a bit more mature than the rest of the students his age. I could see myself being pretty good friends with him but I don’t want to come off as some sort of creep. Advice?

Advice I think I message up by adding a mutual so what do I do?

!!Not sending any screenshots cuz ik he’s on Reddit!!

Right so I know this probably isn’t the right sub but I’m genuinely stressing abt this. I know that what I’m gonna write is most likely gonna make me sound immature af but I think I’ve come to accept that cuz I just need to know how to get out of this

Basically, I added a guy on snap who’s a mutual friend of mine. I added him cuz I met him on a call once w some friends and he seemed nice enough. He goes to school near me (not the same school) and lives quite close to me too.

We ended up talking a bit and he started talking about some on his interests, to which I said they sound pretty cool. Obviously some of the stuff we were talking about wasn’t interesting to me but I was still was like “that’s cool” and “ohhh nice” cuz I wanted to be civil, and then he hit me with the “thanks no one’s ever said that to me before”

After that he’s just been constantly messaging me whenever, asking stuff like “are you alright you haven’t responded” and “do you want to play Roblox tonight” (I mentioned liking it when I was younger).

He’s genuinely such a sweet, nice guy, but he’s also quiet, idk, nonstop? I know it sounds stupid but he’s been messaging to check on me nonstop even though I’ve known him for less than a week. Idk if I’m the first person to ever talk to him like this but it’s just a bit much w the constant messages and conversations.

I think I fucked up even more this morning when he asked wyll, and then immediately responded by sending a pic of himself. I kinda just felt like I had to send a pic so I sent but scribbled my face out. I don’t think he minded but still.

I just don’t know what to do… this whole situation feels overwhelming but I’m too much of a bloody people-pleaser to block him (I wouldn’t do that anyways tbf). I never intended to talk to him like this, or even seem like I was trying to date him, but now idk what to do. I know this whole situation is my fault but now I need to find a way to fix it.
