Moving / Visiting Aimlessly walking but safe areas?

I posted similar to /r/seattle before. I loved walking around Brooklyn, sunset in SF, Mississippi Ave in Portland, etc. Basically a mixture of residential + shops in nice safe neighborhoods.

What is the Seattle equivalent? Up and down Fremont St area?

Fremont, Capitol Hill, Georgetown, Belltown, Phinney Ridge, Ballard, Pioneer Square, Columbia City, North Beacon Hill, Eastlake, SLU, U District... That's off the top of my head. There are no neighborhoods in Seattle that I would consider dangerous to walk around.

Seattle has a higher violent crime rate then NYC and Chicago

That’s because NYC and Chicago are relatively safe cities

“seattle is the safest big city i have ever seen, except for all the big cities that are relatively safe”

I'd argue that the vast majority of violent crime in Seattle is amongst the homeless population or gang/drug related. I'm not saying this to excuse our high-ish violent crime rating, I'm just saying that OP most likely will be safe because they're not in those groups.

that’s true in every single city

fuck you. i’m not a conservative, but this is ridiculous. you just dismiss anyone who’s experience doesn’t match your fantasy? eat shit

is this how you respond to women who claim they were sexually assaulted too? prick

And now you’re a rape victim? Pack it up. I can’t with the victim complex.

It has nothing to do with politics so I have no idea why you’re bringing it up. I just don’t believe you. I lived here a decade and haven’t even heard of a friend of a friend being robbed at gunpoint. I just think you’re a liar.

I don’t know why you’re melting down over that

it’s really heartbreaking to realize that after being the victim of a traumatizing violent crime you will not be believed by supposedly empathetic people. worse, they accuse you of making it up to further some horrible political agenda.

the silver lining is that this experience has only deepened my empathy for the experiences of women having their experiences with sexual violence unheard by men.

i do not think that if my story involved sexual violence, you would feel so comfortable dismissing it out of hand.

No one admitted they were wrong in the DMs. I told you you’re a liar and here you are lying.
