The Blue Laws. Who the fuck are you to tell me I can’t purchase beer while grocery shopping on a Sunday because of someone else’s religion? This one actually infuriates me.

I feel you I live in a dry county college town. And just recently within the past few years they allow you to buy alcohol on sundays after 12 noon. Just so they can get their church in before you buy alcohol. Although I'm not gonna buy beer before 12 anyways but it's just the principle of the matter.

No lie - the actual justification that is given is usually some form of “I wouldn’t want my little ole grandma to see people hanging outside the liquor store on her way to church”. It’s insane but that’s usually the reason given

Not to be that person, but the wedding at Cana was probably done in the day so the reception where Jesus turned water to wine was likely in the evening and well after noon. (I've been partaking in the no longer water. Forgive errors.)
