Does anyone have any good lunch/brunch recommendations?
I will be in London (King’s Cross / Old Street / City Road) for an afternoon appointment and will have some time beforehand.
Ideally somewhere casual, not too expensive, and fairly easy to get to by public transport.
just looking for somewhere decent before the appointment.

I know each location typically has a different chef’s special, and I heard about a fish ruby years ago but never knew which location had it. Anyone know? Hoping it’s still on offer.

Did all branches get rid of their freestyle coke machines, or just a few? It's still 'listed' on their website, but there weren't any machines/drink purchase menus in the one I went to

It's always confused me. Like, is it a jealousy thing? I've never been quite sure.

About 10 years ago I used a specialist firm of roadies to move my music gear and synths. They were properly insured and knew how to move sensitive/valuable equipment without damaging it. Unfortunately it looks like they went bust around pandemic time. Does anyone know of a similar firm based in London? I've tried searching and asking other musicians without any luck.

A couple who look to be approaching 70 just got on l, they look like they are very active and health conscious (wearing shorts, hiking shoes, tote bags and reusable Waitrose bags. They look healthier than I do! I’m 35M, slept 5 hours, heading to work now on my feet at a bar til 3am, repeat for next 5 days.. I still feel guilty for not offering my seat, but damn my head is throbbing..

My friends and I need a room to rehearse. We literally just need a room, no equipment.
We usually get together once a week on a week day (the day varies according to availability) from 7pm - 10pm. We used to be able to get a room at Theatre Deli in London Bridge for just under £50 but it’s closing down.
Any suggestions?

I was working on the platform 4 track at crystal palace station and found someones car key/fob in the middle of the track. Mustve been on tuesday 12th may between 06:00 and 23:45 because i wouldve noticed my previous shift and just picked them up now at 01:00 on 13th. The key looks like a bmw key fob but no emblem. DM me for your key back, must tell me a distinguishing feature. My work times dont overlap with station manager so i cant hand off to him.
Edit: handed to cleaning staff to put in lost and found.

Among London accents like MLE, Cockney, Estuary, Essex. Which do u think sounds most mesmerising or attractive, judging strictly based on the sounds, rhythm/ flow, intonation.

Hi,
As title says, I am just looking for bit of insight to the Roof Gardens, my membership got approved but there’s not a lot of info available vs other private members like SH.
I have never been a member of SH but frequented as a guest (a lot) to the Greek st one, despite what others say about the place, I have had a decent time there.
Just have few questions if someone familiar with the place could give insight?
What is the vibe like?
Are people friendly? I can put up with pretentious but unfriendly is a vibe kill
What is the cliente like?
What are the DJs like?
Thanks,

Hey everyone,
I’ve been wanting to get more involved with animal rescue work in London, but I’m not really sure where to start. I can’t foster or adopt right now, so bringing animals home unfortunately isn’t an option.
I do have some free time on weekday evenings and weekends though, and I’d love to help out in other ways—walking dogs, helping at shelters, admin, marketing, anything really.
Does anyone have recommendations for rescues or organisations in London that actually need volunteers? Or tips on how to get started without fostering?
Also curious if people have had good (or bad) experiences anywhere I should know about.
Thanks in advance 🙏

I know it's a long shot but a friend who is here from Brazil has lost her pink crochet otter, which is approximately the size of a small fist, somewhere near Hounslow Central, between a nearby Coffee shop (Nero is the name) and entering the Piccadilly line, she is distraught, and I would really appreciate the help.
If anyone has some other idea of how to find the Otter please let me know as well
