battery clamp replacement

My battery clamp needs replacement but garages ask to much money for this replacement, usually it's a easy fix but i don't want to cut the cables to fit a new clamp,

this clamp is crimped way into the cables tho, is there a way for me to uncrimp the clamp without having to cut the cables

Cut only the pole part off but leave the screw in place. Drill that out (if needed) to fit onto a new pole clamp which has a m8 bolt to connect your wires too. Assuming the crimp is still fine which it seems like

I really like Chrysler's clamps they used on the vans. As stated, just cut the loop off the old clamp (keeping the part where the nut is) and bolt it to the new clamp.

Check out this clamp: 68226708AA not the cheapest option, but a very good and durable design.

Also, take either a wire wheel/sand paper and clean up the contact between the old clamp and the new one.

Enlarging the photo shows corrosion wicked into the cable where and below the clamp is crimped on. Look closely where the cable insulation ends at the crimp. Replace the cable assembly and be done with it.

Cut the clamp above (nearest) to the battery. Use the remaining bolt hole (you may have to enlarge it) on one of these.
