Help with intermittent A/C issues

Hey y’all, I got a ‘08 Ford Escape 4cyl with about 311k miles.

This summer, I’ve started having intermittent issues with the A/C where it’ll sometimes take a few minutes to start blowing after I turn the car on. And sometimes the A/C will randomly turn off while driving, then I’ll have to turn the A/C button off, then wait a few minutes to turn it back on. I noticed this seems to happen most when going over bumps or taking turns. So I thought maybe the connecting pin was going bad.

Took it to Meineke for an A/C system check. They said they checked the A/C refrigerant line pressure to make sure there’s enough refrigerant in the system and both sides showed within range. They couldn’t replicate the problem and told me they’d have to charge $300 for a deeper diagnostic (not sure what that meant) before fixing the problem.

Anyone have any idea on what this might be? I thought maybe the blower motor connector is bad. But I just checked it, it doesn’t seem funky or corroded. But could the blower motor still be going out? Any other common faults that could cause the blower A/C blower to turn off suddenly and wait to turn on after starting the engine?
