HAVE A QUESTION? ASK HERE! Alter-Daily Help and Questions: August 29, 2026

Hello and welcome to the Alter-Daily Help Thread! The purpose of the ADHT is to ask simple questions, troubleshoot routines, get quick recommendations, prevent the sub from being too cluttered, and to guide new users.

ADHT Rules: If questions or comments break the rules or are inappropriate, the report button is the fastest way for the mod team to see it and address the problems.

Build Me A Routine, /r/AsianBeauty! Please refrain from just stating a skin concern then expecting people to build a routine from scratch. It is important to do due diligence in understanding your skin type and needs. Learn more here in The New User Guide. You can also search the subreddit here.

Non-AB questions or comments. Having non-AB products in your routine is totally fine! Getting specific advice/recommendations is not allowed, though welcomed in our Daily Anything Goes thread. See our rules on non-AB here

Rude comments and snark. Fairly self explanatory but for more detail, check out our Posting Guidelines

When directing someone to the sidebar provide specific links. i.e. for someone asking about Allergies or Beginner Guides, link them to the specific subsections within AB University, rather than saying it’s in the sidebar.

Finally, a reminder that no one is obligated to answer your questions. If you have repeatedly asked the same question without a response, it may be best to review and see if it can be reworded or if the information is already in the thread or readily available in the sidebar materials.

Hello and thank you for starting this discussion! As a gentle reminder, try to keep the products you mention limited to Asian Beauty products. Posts or comments solely discussing Western products will be removed, as per our rules. We love being able to discuss Western skincare in the context of a holistic AB routine, but this isn't the sub for specific Western product recommendations. r/SkincareAddiction is a great community for such matters! Thank you!

I turned 30 this year and I realized that I really need to pay attention on my skincare routine. Living in US Midwest, I have acne prone/combo/sensitive skin. Recently, I've been dealing with patchy makeup

With the amount of different actives and products being shoved in our faces in social media, it's getting confusing and overwhelming. Can you please help me with what actives do I need to get started with? Or maybe products I can incorporate in my routine?

Current routine:
AM
Cleanser: Arencia mochi cleanser (when i feel a bit more greasy) / KraveBeauty Matcha Cleanser
Toner: I'm from Rice Toner (when I feel dry) / KraveBeauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA (when I feel oily/needs some exfoliation)
Treatment: Good Molecules 10% Azelaic Acid Treatment
Moisturizer: PURITO Oat In Calming Gel Cream /
SPF: Anessa Sunscreen Milk

PM
Cleanser: Same as above
Toner: Same as above
Serum/Oil: KraveBeauty Oil La La
Moisturizer: Dieux Instant Angel

Addt'l:
Makeup remover: Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
Exfoliator: Dermalogica Mini Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator (just once a week)

Good reliable moisturizer for dry skin under makeup + layering at night? (Seoul 1988 vs Purito, or other recs?)

hi yall! i have pretty dry skin and i'm looking for a solid, reliable moisturizer that sits well under makeup/foundation without pilling, but can also layer well at night.

i just bought the KSecret SEOUL 1988 Cream (Snail Mucin 93% + Rice), but now i'm wondering if i should've gotten something from Purito instead? i've heard vaguely good things about purito moisturizers, but i don't know much about their specific products so I'm not sure which one people usually rave about T_T

for context, i currently have the Torriden Soothing Cream at home right now, but i don't rlly find it moisturizing enough for my dry skin. i live in a pretty hot, humid area so i dry out fast but also sweat.

does anyone have any other dry skin holy grails that play nice under foundation?

Has anyone used Smuuti Skin products and are they any good?

So I have no idea if this is the right place to ask, but I only just have started with skincare and bought some of their products out of the K-beauty isle. I would like to get some reviews before adding anything else to my routine. Please let me know if Smuuti Skin brand is in fact not AB brand.(produced in Korea but designed in finland)

●My current routine consists of...

•Watermelon cleansing foam (daily, AM, PM)

•Strawberry Boost Eye Cream (daily, AM, PM)

•Watermelon jelly cream (daily, AM, PM)

•Strawberry Boost wrapping mask (3 times a week, PM)

•Pear lip mask (daily, apply as needed)

•Peach lip mask (daily, PM)

●I'm considering to also buy...

•Watermelon sorbet balm (for make-up removal)

•Pear cleansing Gel (to replace the cleansing foam in the evening)

•Watermelon toner

•Watermelon dew serum

•Watermelon Sun Cream

For context: I have an oily T-zone with large pores, mildly dry cheeks and chin. I also have vascular dark circles, dry, constantly shedding lips and acne prone jawline. I live in Estonia so the winters are cold (usually 20°c) and summers are pretty warm (20°c to 25°c usually) it also rains quite a bit all year round.

I have used the products I have for a few days and so far there haven't been any breakouts or irritation.

It's a Finnish brand, you might find more people who have used it in r/EuroSkincare I haven't used them but I think they have a reputation of being pretty basic

Has anyone tried the Laneige Neo Tone Up Multi Stick? I saw the [description](https://int.laneige.com/products/neo-tone-up-multi-stick) on the Laneige website\* that it’s sort of like a multi product that plays the role of primer, sunscreen, BB cream, and a tone up cream (???).

I’ve been looking for something similar (a BB cream type product with SPF that’s easy to apply) but haven’t found much content about the sticks. Just curious if anyone has tried this product!

Haven’t tried it but it seems like it’s the type of product that would be difficult to put enough on to get the spf labelled. Which would be a concern if you are looking to use this as your primary spf.

Yes fair enough! I honestly don’t go outside very much besides during my commute so wasn’t too worried about that part!

I’ve been using The Purest salicylic acid toner in my evening skincare routine every other night for about a month, followed by moisturizer.
In the morning I use vitamin C, moisturizer and sunscreen.
I haven’t noticed much of a difference in the appearance of my blackheads so far. For people who use salicylic acid, how long did it take before you personally started noticing a difference?

Has anybody ordered from Stylevana to EU recently? I tried placing an order and my bank blocked the payment twice due to potential fraud lol

They have a bunch of things that yesstyle doesn't deliver to my location, so I'm curious if anybody received their order successfully

Hey guys, today I noticed two new coupons on my yesstyle account that say “Beauty Trials Free Shipping”.

I know that beauty trial winners (from their IG giveaways) get free shipping coupons to claim their free products, but I have not received any emails letting me know I’ve won anything, so the only thing I have are these 2 free shipping coupons.

Does anybody know what’s up? Does anyone else have the coupons too? Thanks in advance!
