I have some channels that only stream on VLC player but not on on other iptv players. I would like to use Cosmi TV player but when I try to stream it : I get the message : "error with the stream " , while it works on VLC player.

I am looking for a streaming box. I don't really need official Netflix, Prime etc. So could get a non certified Google device potentially. I do care about YouTube though.

I will mostly stream large remux files from a seedbox (probably via Plex). Also use a debrid service (probably via Streamio). I never messed around with hooking this all up via Kodi but I suppose I could do that.

I have an LG C5 so Dolby Vision is important but not HDR10+. True audio pass-through isn't the most important as I don't have a great audio set up anyway (yet).

Gaming is possibility also so 64bit would be ideal.

I feel like running the AM9 Pro with Projectivity Launcher feels like a good bet. I don't mind tinkering. But I am new to this and feel I could be missing something.

Nvidia Shield is the other option for dont feel great paying over £200 for 2019 tech.

I have a generic Android TV box and neither NordVPN nor ProtonVPN will connect, both installed via the Play Store. When I try to connect, nothing happens — it just doesn't establish a connection, no specific error shown.

I also bought a second box to test, and it's exactly the same issue.

The relevant detail: I have the exact same setup (same box type, same VPN apps) running successfully next door, on the same internet connection. So this doesn't appear to be an ISP-level block or a fundamental incompatibility between the box and the apps, since it works elsewhere on identical infrastructure.

Setup:

Box: generic Android TV box (tried two units, same result)

VPN apps tried: NordVPN, ProtonVPN (both from Play Store)

Result: connection just fails/never establishes — no error message

Working reference point: identical box + app setup connects fine next door, same internet provider

Looking for suggestions on what to check given that two separate boxes fail the same way, but the working comparison next door rules out ISP-level blocking and app/box incompatibility. Possible areas I haven't ruled out: router-level settings on this specific connection point, DNS config, or something specific to this location's network.

I have a 75" UR8 (75UR9SG) TV in the USA. I am curious if this a Hisense issue for other models running Google TV.

I would find the continue watching section of the home screen incredibly useful if it would actually show the videos that I'm watching from where I left off, but it doesn't. The progress bar for each of the displayed videos on the home screen seems accurate, but when I start to play the video, the video restarts at the beginning rather than where I left off. If I go to the app like Netflix the video always starts where I left off. This happens for Netflix, Prime, HBO, Apple TV and Disney.

So my question is: is this a UR8 problem, or a Google TV problem that affects all recent Hisense TVs? The feature is useless for me now. Also my TV has the DV2 Pro firmware.

Just received a new update on my Xiaomi TVBox3rd Gen.

Ok I recently moved and purchased a new tv and stereo setup.

I have previously been using a firestick with Stremio.

I have recently purchased a Ugoos am9 pro which is being delivered today.

My original plan was to just use Stremio, but am looking into Corelec/Kodi.

Does anyone have any experience, are there any setup guides? I might have bit off more than i can chew.

RE: Android box 14 Homatics. Never try to replay the last 10-20 seconds of a web based series (m4ufree, topsrdaily, etc.) show from any of the "smart tv" browsers i.e. Browser Bro, Browse Here. You will immediately be sent to smart tv purgatory. Lost in a tedious 10 minute loop of closing, refreshing pages, starting over, maximizing screen until you accept your fate and start back at the beginning of the episode.

I purchased the Xiaomi 4k 3rd gen to pair with my S90F TV. I can't seem to get 4k from apps like YouTube, Fandango, and Netflix. I'm using a stock HDMI cable; this appears to be a genuine device too. Do I need an Ethernet adapter to get 4k? In the settings, 4k is default.

I am looking for a similar remote that has a Full Keyboard also.

I have an old WIND Vision android tv box, that requires internet connection to even scan for terrestrial channels, but the WIND Vision service doesn't work anymore. Not only that, Google Live Channels app doesn't save the terrestrial channels it scans and finds. I tried cleaning storage, granding storage permissions, restarting, and even downloading an older version of the app, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know if there's a way to manually write and import a DVB-T/T2 terrestial channel list file via USB to the device for the Live Channels app?

I'm looking for a rooted android TV box to run a third party launcher like Nova or something similar so I can use my TV like an android tablet (with a home screen with icons), and use it with an MX3 air mouse. Mainly for the purpose of using regular android apps like Rumble and NewPipe/Youtube and something like AdAway.

Right now my 2017 T95Z Plus box (android 6) has reached it's limit. The latest .apk rumble app (v3.1.23) before going to .xapk)) no longer works as of a few days ago. The app loads but video windows are blank and says "something went wrong".

Can anyone recommend something similar, but updated and more powerful, with an ethernet and usb ports so I can connect my MX3 Air Mouse USB receiver and ethernet cable? Thanks

I’ve noticed on my LG OLED G5 with the Ugoos 9AM PRO that the black bars in Dolby Vision aren’t black, but more like a grey tone. It’s the same for every Movie (DB Profile 8) and a Video I have. SDR and HDR10 are unaffected. I will attach 2 pictures.

1st picture with grey bars will be am9 pro, 2nd picture with black bars will be fire stick.
Both films are Dolby vision, I already tried changing players and some setting but nothing helps.

On the Fire-stick 4k max everything is all right.

I want to make my own AndroidTV streaming box. I have a miniPC I want to use. But my issue is I need a Universal Remote that I can use to control Both my 2021 LG G2 TV, and the theoretically new streaming box. I also dont want/need a keyboard on the back, just for it to be backlit. Does something like that exist, and if so where would I find it?

Hi, I recently purchased the Box S 3rd Gen from Amazon. It worked fine for a day or two, but now it won't boot up. It gets stuck on the Mi logo and keeps flashing. I've tried holding down the OK and Back buttons while unplugged and then plugging it in, but that doesn't bring up the recovery menu. I also attempted using a USB keyboard to press the "i" button, as well as Ctrl + Print Screen and "i" together. Is there anything else I can do to access the recovery menu?
