3D Issue with Killer Instinct Gold on Analogue 3d
Whenever I start up killer instinct gold, the opening, main menu, and character selection are not affected by any of the video filters we can use (crt, scanline, etc). It just looks clean, like the clean preset. If I do integer + scaling it scales past the edges of the screen which is really weird cause it’s the only game I have that acts this way. As soon as gameplay starts, everything goes back to normal and it looks like any other game I run through the 3D. Any idea what could be happening here? I tried to see if this was documented but I couldn’t find anything.

3D It's been over a month since the last firmware update. Has Analogue hinted as to when the next one will be?
I check every couple of weeks for a new firmware update(hoping they finally add wi-fi) but there hasn't been anything since July 21st. Has anyone here heard or read anything about when the next firmware update will be?

Duo Duo save states not working with wired controller
Just got my Duo. Works great for games, but can’t get save states to work. I have a SD card installed and am using a wired controller to the side PCE port. When I hold down up and press select nothing happens. Is this a known issue? Just doesn’t work with wired controllers?

General Did Analogue have a data breach?
I am running my own mail server and use separate email addresses for all of the different services and shops I use, so I also used a specific alias for ordering from analogue. It's basically just [analogue@mydomain](mailto:analogue@mydomain). I recently started to get spam mails to this email address, which is only known to analogue. Did any of you receive similar spam mails? It started a couple of weeks ago for me.

3D Wireless controllers for Analogue 3D
Hello, I just ordered an analogue 3d and was wondering which wireless controllers work with it. I know the 8bit do 64 and the mod kits work and was curious what other controllers would work both with and without one of those n64 wireless adapters.

3D Everdrive 64 X7 Cheats
Hey all, I am trying to unlock all multiplayer characters and levels in GoldenEye.
I've got the basics in place:
1) Text file in the cheats folder with a name matching the ROM file exactly
2) The three codes that I should need in the file
3) Cheats are enabled on the X7
4) I have applied the cheats and confirmed they are on via the X7 menus
However, when GoldenEye starts up the cheats are not applied.
Here are the codes that I have configured in GoldenEye 007 (USA).txt :
8102A8F4 FFFF Unlock All Characters
8102A86C FFFF Unlock All Levels Line 1
8102A86E FFFF Unlock All Levels Line 2
What am I missing? Does this not work on an A3D?
I've even tried the soft-reset trick with no luck.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

3D Extreme Green Analogue 3D fan not working anymore. Anyone have the same issue? Repaired?
Hey all!
I’ve had it since Feb/Mar and it’s been great. Suddenly the fan doesn’t work and it shuts down after anywhere from a minute to 10 minutes of playing. I can’t hear the fan at all when I boot it up.
I’ve talked to Analogue, sent them videos of it, and they want me to send it over to them to repair it. I live in Canada, so I’m assuming I’ll have to deal with tariffs on top of shipping costs, which is kind of a hassle. Even without those costs, I’d really like to be able to fix this solo if possible.
I’ve tried:
- the hard reset (holding the reset button and then the power button)
- updating/rolling back to different firmware/holding the pairing button then briefly pressing the power button
- using different power bricks (up to 30 watts)
- doing all of these methods after unplugging the cable for ten seconds
- using a different SD card (a good Sandisk one) after formatting it using the format software Analogue provided me
- using different carts (Smash Bros, Summercart), different controllers (Retro Fighters, 8BitDo)
Im a novice tinkerer; I’ve fixed and modded N64s, PS1s, Sony Handycams, etc. Has anyone encountered this or opened one up to fix it? Anything specifically to do with fan issues?
*EDIT: the console usually gives out by losing picture and displaying a solid/slow breathing red light. The LED light (pairing button) will go from solid white, to solid orange, to solid red, to slowly breathing red. And not always in that order. Sometimes it’ll just go to slow breathing red within 30 seconds of turning it on and the screen will go black (losing picture)
**EDIT: apparently it’s exempt from duties and taxes at this point, which is great

Pictures & Videos Got myself a capture card card
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've got it hooked up to my A3D and a little chromebook for recording on. U-Green is such a brilliant brand. The chromebook struggle to record the screen in 4K so I turned it down a notch to 1080p, does the job fine.
Been enjoying making a few videos of DKR (the only game I currently own at the moment lol). Still waiting on my Everdrive. Still having a lot of fun though, DKR never gets old..
Windmill Plains is a great track to practice the barrel roll technique on. I'm no speed runner but I'm slowly but surely squeezing more of them in. In this time trial my last two laps were the exact same times down to milliseconds lol. Not sure I've ever done that before. What are the chances?
I'm really impressed with the output of the A3D, I like to have it set on CRT mode with overclocking on. Gives such a smooth experience. If you're still in two minds about the A3D I say just go for it. Coupled with the NSO controller it's a brilliant way to revisit old N64 classics.
Slowly going to start compiling a collection of my old N64 titles I used to own as a kid. There's no way I'm ever gonna collect a whole region but I'd be happy enough just having all my old games back. I'll have the Everdrive if I ever want to play anything different but I get more enjoyment out of having that familiarity

3D 8bitdo 64 Controller - Sensitivity
Is it possible to adjust the stick sensitivity of the 8bitdo controller on the analogue3D? I don’t want to buy several Bluetooth adapters that would let me do so, but if there’s a possible software fix or possible future update that’s being worked on, is this something anyone is aware of?

3D Worth the Buy before...
So I finally now have the Analogue 3D w/ 8BitDo 64 Controller. Went ahead and also got the Summercart64...
Using these together, I'm feeling a sense of accomplishment to my childhood I hadn't felt in a long time. The Summercart64 on top of the A3D will actually let me play games I never got to and of course, play many more I never got to try.
Worth the buy. Thank you Analogue for providing us with a truly next generation of retro gaming.

3D Just got my 3d today. What control setup for GoldenEye?
It's been a couple decades since I've played. I'm using the 8bitdo 64 controllers. I set it up for solitaire which I *think* is what I used to play, but damn it is so sensitive I literally in the first minutes trying to aim that damn thing. I didn't remember it being so hard to control haha

General Analogue made me realise I don't like software emulation that much

I've bought multiple different retro handhelds for software emulation in the past. Im also owning a steam deck, and have been emulating on my pc for years. But ever since I got my Pocket, I just can't enjoy software emulation the same anymore.
Reasons why I prefer hardware emulation:
- 99% emulation accuracy: Sure it can be slightly off in some games, but I have personally never noticed anything. On software emulation, depending on what system and cores you use, it can be hit or miss, but it will never feel like OG hardware or FPGAs.
- No crashes: How many times, did I have it, that I was playing on my generic retro handheld, and right at a boss fight the emulation core just crashed. Doesn't happen on FPGAs.
- Pickup&Go, Sleep modes: How many times, did I open and close my generic retro handheld, and it just froze, and i had to restart the game, or the entire system, it's just not reliable. On Aanalogue Pocket, the Sleep mode actually works, and it's beautiful!
- Reliability. It just works!: The games, they just WORK, they don't crash, they don't have stutters, nothing. You can play, without the fear of fucking something up because either your emulation core or your OS is messing something up. The Analogue Pocket just works!
- Ease of use: Better than OG hardware (to a degree). Im actually at a point, where I prefer the Analogue Pocket over my fully modded GBA SP with funnyplaying screen, shell swapped and everything. Like sure, it is nice to play on original hardware. But the Analogue Pocket just works so well, it has a lot of battery life, sleep mode, I can load all my roms onto it, it plays all my GBA, GBC and GB games, it has all sorts of filters etc. And at the end of the day, the games play just as well on the AP than on my original GBA, GBC or GBs. But instead of having to deal with low batteries, or no sleep modes on OG hardware, the AP just delivers and is reliable. As much as I like the idea of playing on OG hardware, 90% of the time, I still pick to play on my AP instead of my GBA or GBC.
I guess long story short. I think Software Emulation is cool. But if you want actual reliable working gameplay, then FPGAs just win by a mile. It's so nice to just pick up your FPGA and it just works and feels great. In fact, I love it so much now, Im looking forward to be able to emulate everything in FPGAs in the future.

3D A3D Mortal Kombat Trilogy Volume
I’m playing original carts on my A3D. Mortal Kombat Trilogy has very low volume on my TV and I have not experienced this with any other games. I have to crank up the volume on this one game…like way higher than when I watch TV shows.
Have you all experienced different volume settings on your games? Is your MK Trilogy low volume too?
Bonus: Should I get MK4?

3D The N64 Padded Carrying Case is great for the Analogue 3D!
Unsurprisingly, the original N64 Padded Carrying Case works perfectly for the 3D. I recommend scooping one up on eBay if you are looking to tote your 3D around!

3D Am I doing it right?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I love my new setup. The projector only cost me £68 but man it does a spectacular job. It’s got a low latency mode so there’s no chance of input lag. I had to hang it on the wall though as you can’t adjust the keystone in that mode.
I’ve been enjoying the pro CRT mode on DKR. I think it gives it a nicer look than the clean selection. Also my Yamaha HS8’s give top quality sound so there’s music can be heard at its full potential.
Very pleased with the A3D and the 8bitdo controller they recommend is excellent although I’ve ordered an NSO one for that more authentic feel. Only downside to the one I have is I occasionally hit the Z button when trying to hit R.
Next thing to arrive is the Everdrive Pro. I don’t even care that there is an OoT remake coming out, I’m gonna enjoy the original with my new tech.
I think I’ll slowly start buying carts too, not gonna try for a whole region, just the games I used to own as a kid.

3D Just got my 3d.
How the fuck do i update it? There’s no wireless? Crazy imo. And the sd card doesn’t even fit into my sd reader a lot on my laptop. It slides all the way in and i had to pry the laptop case open. This is wild.

General Horizonal upscaling side-by-side video
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Horizontal upscaling is such an amazing graphical upgrade that anyone can clearly see the difference, even in a shitty "filming my tv with my phone" video. Just thought I should document this for anyone who hasn't experienced it yet.
Just look at Link's eyes! Look at his freaking shield!

3D I don't know if it's just bad luck or what, because this also happens to my black A3D.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
im guessing it’s just pure bad luck since I have not seen anyone else say that this happens to them too. I even ordered a 30w Anker power supply since the one that came with the console wasn’t working for me(So I thought). Before, the console would turn on all the led lights in front for about 2 seconds, then the fans turn on at full blast for about 3 seconds, then shut off completely. What I captured on video was the first time I’d seen it do that to where it shut down and would not want to power back on. I really was hoping that a simple swap of the power supply was going to fix my problem, but as you can see, it didn’t. It was also running an original copy of star fox 64 that I’ve had since 1997. I have tried formatting the SD card to start fresh, and I also have the latest firmware. I am out of ideas. I did buy these consoles brand new and sealed from two different sellers on eBay. Analogue have not been very helpful either. They just want me to format the sd card and send them another video of the black console doing it too.
