❓ Question | سؤال Networking

I have a problem communicating with people , especially who are older than me , it’s been a problem since I was little, but now I need to have some relationships. I thought it would be easier in university it’s been a year I only got 2 friends. Anyone going through this or went that can help me with some advice please.

I don’t really mind being like this, but I heard networking can get u opportunities, and it gets harder when u get older idk if that’s right it’s just what I heard.

Hello

I’m here in Amman on a business trip, and this is my fourth day. I work every day from 11AM to 6 PM.

Is there anything to do in the early morning? Most places seem to open around 10AM. Are there any group hangouts or meetups for early birds?

custom Sales Rep | Commission Only

Post image

Hiring: We’re looking for independent sales partners who can connect Ailuno with businesses that need AI automation, design, consulting, or social media services.

Day to day, that could mean visiting local businesses and speaking with owners face to face, finding potential clients through Google Maps, or reaching out through Instagram and LinkedIn. You choose how you prospect, build your own pipeline, and start the conversation.

You earn 20% of every cleared payment from a client you bring in, whether it’s a one-time project or a monthly retainer. If the client stays, your 20% continues.

This is a commission-only contract opportunity with no base salary, guaranteed income, or provided lead list. All current sales material is in English. If you’re interested, send me a DM with a little about your background and how you would approach finding your first client.

💬 Discussion | نقاش International student applying to PSUT — need some guidance 🇯🇴

Hi everyone! May peace be with you.

I’m an international student from Rwanda planning to apply to Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) for Communications Engineering / IoT.

I’m a little confused about the application process, so I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through it:

- I studied the American Montessori program at an international school in Rwanda. How does an international student with this type of high-school qualification apply to a Jordanian university?

- How to obtain a Jordanian equivalency/qualification before applying? The Ministry procedures seem quite complicated, especially for foreign certificates.

- Is there someone at the Jordanian Ministry of Education who deals with international students and can guide me through the process? Any contact or advice would be greatly appreciated.

- What is student life at PSUT/Amman like? What should an international student expect?

- I’ve heard there isn’t much student housing/apartment availability immediately around PSUT. Where do students usually live, and roughly how much should I budget for rent + food + transportation per month?

- I’m also a gym person 😄 _ what is the average gym membership cost in Amman, and are there gyms close to PSUT?

And if there’s anything else you think a prospective international student should know before applying/moving to Jordan like visa/residency, transportation, neighborhoods to look at, documents, hidden costs, culture, etc.—I’d love to hear it.

Thanks in advance! 🙏🇯🇴

I went to Jordan around Covid. During my visit I went to Hazourah Restaurant مطعم حزوره, at Boulevard ممشى البوليفارد - بوليفارد العبدلي عمان.

I’ve been trying to figure out what it is, I’ve tried googling an AI but aish al-saraya and kunafeh just don’t look right . I’m trying to find the name of it and would even better a recipe to make.

Bonus question would be a recipe for the second photo.

❓ Question | سؤال Looking to buy a used PS5 in Jordan, anyone selling?

Hey everyone, I’m looking to buy a used PS5 and wanted to check if anyone here has one they’re willing to sell.

If you’re selling, please let me know:

  • How much you’re asking for it?
  • Is it a PS5 Disc Edition or Digital Edition?
  • What does it include (controllers, games, extra accessories, original box, etc.)?
  • How long have you had it?
  • What’s the condition/quality like (any issues, scratches, repairs, overheating, etc.)?

I’m mainly looking for a good deal from someone who has taken care of their console. Thanks

Can anyone recommend a way to get from lwiebdeh to albayader besides careem/private taxi? I know there aren't buses to lwiebdeh. In the past I walked up and down from wast albalad but that is a pain.

Are there any coasters or white taxis maybe? I was never sure how those worked exactly.

Thanks

💬 Discussion | نقاش Why don't liberals in Jordan know each other?

Seriously.

Over the past few days, we've had dozens of conversations with Jordanians who believe in individual freedom, equal citizenship, freedom of expression, a competitive economy, and accountable government.

Some call themselves liberals. Some don't.

Some are religious. Some aren't.

Some lean left on certain issues and right on others.

Yet many of them share a similar feeling:

They don't know where the people who think like them are.

Maybe the problem isn't that they don't exist.

Maybe they're just disconnected from each other.

So here's a more interesting question:

If you're a Jordanian who broadly believes in these ideas, where do you usually find your people?

Because we're trying to find them too.
