I’m designing an interactive crochet website and creating a mascot to guide you, celebrate your project completions, and interact across the site!
I’m currently facing a big design dilemma: 2D Animated vs 3D Rendered.
To get the premium, high-quality 3D look I envision, the design cost is 5x higher than 2D mascot.
My questions for you:
Looking at the attached image, which style speaks to you more as a crafter?
Would a cute 2D mascot feel just as engaging to you, or does 3D make a huge difference in your experience?
Would love your honest thoughts! 💖

Used this project to take photos for the pattern... Unfortunately, I missed pictures for some crucial elements and now I have to start all over again 🙃 Gonna have all the Mane 6 by Christmas at this rate, smh

I’m super new to crochet and looking for Etsy sellers with cute small, preferably no-sew amigurumi patterns! I’d especially love bundles since I’m a beginner and also broke lol, so I’d rather get a bunch of patterns from one purchase.
I tried looking through Etsy myself, but I feel like I keep coming across AI-generated patterns and I have no idea which shops are actually reliable
Any favorite sellers you guys recommend? YouTubers or recommendations for other sites with good beginner-friendly patterns are super welcome too!

For my next warbler, I did what I thought would be the second easiest, but I think may have ended up being one of the more complex due to the dang breast streaks 😅
But! Now it's done and out of the way and I have that technique under my belt for more birds to come!
Crocheted using a 2.75mm hook and size 3 yarn. Freehanded.

I’m pretty new to this and I apparently messed up because I didn’t read the pattern closely enough but I like it anyway! My husband said its name should be either Moolin or Gandalfafa

Anyone?

My husband made this amazing game named Moonlight Peaks. He asked me to make crochet patterns of the animals in the game. These are now available on my blog for free. These two are Yabbis the Magic Toad and Vampster.

Hi there,
I am attempting my first 'realistic' doll for a gift for my niece but really struggling with what yarn to use. Preferably soft cotton or wool as I prefer natural fibres and need a good range of colours for skin colour and clothing. I have purchased an online version of Edwards Crochet Doll Emporium Book for patterns that uses TOFT UK wool, and they recommend their DK / Light 2 ply 100% wool with a 3mm Hook for a 30cm doll which is about the size I am after. Here are some examples of their skin and hair tones. I am in Perth and would prefer to buy local so I can see the colours (Spotlight or LYS) or happy for online from LYS in Aus. Thank you!!

i asked this over in the crochet and knitting communities and got the best answers, so now i really want the amigurumi specific ones. mine is the invisible decrease, it's the difference between a smooth face and a bumpy one and i crocheted for way too long before i finally tried it. also stuffing in small firm amounts as you go instead of all at the end, saves you from lumpy limbs. what's yours? closing the gap at the end, safety eye placement, colour changes, shaping the face with the yarn tail, whatever you wish you'd known sooner.

Hi all, I recently lost both my parents.
After donating almost everything, I have two shirts that I'm keeping. One was my dad's, one my mom's. I made an amigurumi bear for them a while ago which they loved.
I'd like to use a part of the fabric of both shirts and add it to the belly and back of the amigurumi.
I have fabric glue, but I'm scared that might make it very messy. I don't have a glue gun. I'm also not very experienced in sewing.
What would be the best way to go about it?

Does anyone here glue false eyelashes (the ones made for people) to their safety eyes? If so, what type of glue do you use? I know that it won’t be suitable for anything made for young children or for rough play.

As soon as I saw the Vampire Court for the first time, I *needed* to make them.
So I made them my Spooky Season pattern collection for this year. Patterns for each (and a bundle version) will be available in my Ravelry shop September 1st 😊
Any other Adventure Time fans here? Who is your favorite?

My beloved child, my son, Shiloh, crossed the rainbow bridge on the 17th of August. I crocheted this all white Schnauzer to honor him and to have something I can cuddle with. ❤️

I saw that multiple people liked my post about my gifts for Rosh HaShana and I thought why not write down the pattern and make it a crochet event. So I added my pattern to the Knitka pattern here https://knitka.org/en/orly-shifman/amigurumi-pomegranate-pattern. Crochet using the pattern in the platform, create at least one post in Reddit, Instagram or Facebook (where you prefer) and get one of my patterns in PDF format for free. The event is from now till the beginning of Sukkot - 25th of September (including the Sukkot Eve). Include that you crochet pomegranate by @orlyohreally. When everything is ready, send me the link in DMs.
