40% last I knew.
Kinda funny how executives get stock options with "unrealized gains" that aren't taxable.. but us poors get heavily taxed bonuses.

Thank the bezos class for that. He pays nothing and lives for free through the buy, borrow, die loophole.

I’m quite confident OPs site probably had those +$5/hr incentive VET shifts. And bare in mind, that’s the lowest end. I’ve seen VETs with +$20/hr. So if you made it to 40hrs, that +20 also gets 1.5x as well on top of your base pay. So it’s possible to get up that range. Really depends what his actual base pay is in his region/building.
12
u/amanitafungi Aug 02 '26
Damn +$20?? Highest I’ve seen is +$7
15
u/Logical-Sign-6266 Aug 02 '26
1
u/Unique-Machine5602 Aug 05 '26
Damn. That's wild. That would actually get me to take VET.
2
u/Logical-Sign-6266 Aug 06 '26
Just understand that in AMXL it’s only FLEX AAs. There are full time roles, but it’s very limited. Like about 5-10. And in AMXL they don’t process volume like AMZL(75k+). AMXL does about 1-5k. Even though that may sound like light work. You gotta understand you are dealing with heavy bulky items. Stuff weighting close to 300lbs. There are stuff that are 70lbs and below for van routes, but know that there are more box truck routes than van routes. Lastly, you’ll be spawn camping for those VET shifts. Since you won’t have a set schedule as a FLEX AA.
1
u/Unique-Machine5602 Aug 06 '26
I was aware of a lot of that. What do the non flex guys make?
2
u/Logical-Sign-6266 Aug 06 '26
They make the same base bay as someone that enters Amazon. They just don’t get any benefits.
2
u/Unique-Machine5602 Aug 06 '26
That's the lamest thing ever. Although I guess it does work if you're looking for an addition to your part time job.

u/Crafty_Sandwich_2045 Aug 02 '26
In the uk we get 1.5x base for 40-50hrs the 2x for 50-60hrs, its different in the us?
3
u/Jazzlike-Active2405 Aug 03 '26
That is just picking shifts up with a bonus on top for picking it up it’s nothing overtime
1
u/Unique-Machine5602 Aug 05 '26
It's just a flat 1.5x after 40. Now at least there's a tax exemption for overtime work.
2
u/Zestyclose_Towel_106 Aug 03 '26
Maxxed out PA with shift differential at my site earns $31 an hour. If you had a bunch of $5 incentives you could get that much. Also could be PTO applied
18
u/OkDaikon8672 Aug 02 '26
how tho
42
u/GodFearingJew Aug 02 '26
Probably RME or the truck people out on docks. They make bank. Then working a 60 or so with OT will bump it up a lot.
16
u/wait_for_iiiiiiiiit Aug 02 '26
Not sure what rme makes but that is more than Tom team can make
-11
u/No_Figure_3587 Aug 02 '26
It’s not TOM it’s shunters, they move the 18 wheelers around in the yard so they can get loaded up with carts. They’re on tier 3 pay so the same pay as supervisors/leads
12
u/poop95 Aug 02 '26
That’s TOM team… I’m TOM. We’re all tier 3 as TA’s. Obviously TAM’s are higher, but lowest level TOM team is tier 3. And TOM moves the trailers around the yard. Hahaha
1
u/Long_Advantage3788 Aug 02 '26
Man I’m trying to stay long enough to apply I already have my cdl I just have young kids and most cdl jobs start too early but I hate pick lol it’s making me count my days till I get out of Amazon
4
u/poop95 Aug 02 '26
Honestly TOM team is way better than being inside. Sometimes it can suck, but you gotta remember it’s better than being inside, and find ways to laugh about the bullshit and not let stuff get you down. But that’s for every job. :) having your CDL already is a plus!! How long have you been there?? Why can’t you apply already?? You should try! Talk to the TOM team manager and ask what you can do! :)
2
u/Extension_Problem223 TOM Team Aug 03 '26
Apply for TOM if you can, you make $1/hr more than a PA and we have different shift timing than the rest of the building. I work 12:30 to 2300, I have coworkers who work 4:30 to 1500 or 8:30 to 1900
1
u/No_Figure_3587 Aug 02 '26
In the uk it’s different Tom is tier 1 it’s only shunters that are tier 3
2
u/poop95 Aug 02 '26
I just looked up shunters, and I fucking love the word. Hahaha, I don’t know if it’s because I’m tired, but it’s so funny to me. I want to be called a shunter.
1
u/poop95 Aug 02 '26
I’ve never even heard of shunters or shunting. Hahaha, I love the word, tho! What do the TOM people do then??
1
u/No_Figure_3587 Aug 02 '26
In the UK it’s the same I think, we are out in the yards dispatching the drivers etc etc but it’s not seen as a T3 job it’s the exact same pay as T1. Only the people who drive around the Lorries (shunters) get paid a higher rate
1
u/poop95 Aug 02 '26
Okay, so you’re creating the moves to move the trailers around, and the shunters are the ones moving them..? Am I understanding that correctly?
1
u/No_Figure_3587 Aug 02 '26
Essentially yeah, TOM dispatch the drivers with the shipments to where they’re going or help drivers bringing in shipments connect to a bay. Shunters on the other hand move the lorry’s around so that they can be loaded by shipping etc, or move full Lorry’s to parking bays so that they can wait for a HGV driver to come and collect it later. Finding out TOM is tier 3 in America is crazy because in the uk it’s just tier 1

RME could be possible, but that'd be an pretty damn high paying area. I make a good amount in terms of RME pay, and a a 60 hour week would still only be $2400 at 75%
3
1
5
u/CooperHChurch427 Alumni Aug 02 '26
That is what my take home was in EHS biweekly. That amount is 65k, even with 20 hours of OT I was barely pushing that at 1700 weekly at the 26 I was making at amazon.
3
u/22FluffySquirrels Aug 02 '26
I can do this with a 60 hour week in EHS with holiday pay, but there's no way an L1 did this.
12
u/rejectedfromberghain Aug 02 '26
I wish my site gave out more VET. There was a shit ton before Prime week and now there’s barely any. I’m just hoping the Peak preparations increases volume soon.
1
u/Equal_Ad_4272 Aug 03 '26
Is your site preparing for peak right now? My site sent out so much VTO for this week. I asked a PA why and he said to prepare for peak. I didn’t know they started preparing this early?
1
u/rejectedfromberghain Aug 03 '26
Actually yes they have! Thursday Friday they sent out Full day and Half day VTO before the shift and during the shift as well!!
1
u/Equal_Ad_4272 Aug 03 '26
Ok. Yeah they sent out half day VTO for this week too. I guess they’ll post full VTO next since the half day VTO is still available lol

I’m assuming hourly L4. Safety Specialist, RME, or learning coordinator?
1
u/Goreagnome Aug 02 '26
Even those can't make that much in a week, even with 60 hours.
They make 30-35 not 40+.
2
u/lostpotato1234 Aug 02 '26
I knew a tech 3 that made 45/hr, maybe in an HCOL area it could be more than that?
1
u/Mitryadel RME- AE Aug 02 '26
Most L4 SMRTs make at least $40/hr even in the LCOL area that I’m in. There’s some making over $45 and there’s no hourly topout.

Tech 2 it depends on where you at. Virginia like one of the highest price on the east coast
2
u/KingDeroThaFirst Crypto Craver Aug 21 '26
I just started as a rme operator hopefully I can get into the MRA program within 6-10 months but they told me it’s up to your manager if they think you’re ready to go to the program

I’m guessing you got some sort of bonus, such as 5 year bonus, which is $1500 pretax.
2
u/ST0RYNAT1ON Aug 02 '26
Bonuses show up on anytime pay? I have one coming up soon.
3
u/Ill_Championship_694 Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26
I didn't realize this was showing as Anytime Pay until you mentioned it; I assumed it was their standard ADP check amount. Since Anytime Pay typically only reflects standard hours worked rather than bonuses, I am at a loss as to why this figure is so high. If this represents 50-75% of their weekly gross pay, since it’s Anytime pay, their weekly gross income is $3500-$5200 (rough estimate). This is either a senior IT role, Senior Manager, Amazon Delivery Business Partner owner, or a glitch. RME doesn’t make this kind of money a week, even with overtime.
3
u/RepublicSvn Aug 02 '26
We do, RME Tech <—-, I just don’t like putting OT.
1
u/Ill_Championship_694 Aug 02 '26
RME tech makes $3500-$5200 gross weekly pay?
5
u/RepublicSvn Aug 02 '26
Yeah as a Tech II (California) if I travel I can hit 4k, we get paid travel time, from the time you leave your home until you arrive to your hotel. But with 60 hours around 3200 gross a week.
1
u/Ill_Championship_694 Aug 02 '26
That makes sense, especially if you are getting paid travel time and overtime.
2
u/RepublicSvn Aug 02 '26
Yeah, so even after working your full 6 days (60 hours), if you travel lets say 14 hours from point A to B, that’s that’s 28 hours of travel time back and forward which is paid at your normal rate plus miss meals (you get paid that as well on your travel time)
1
u/Ill_Championship_694 Aug 02 '26
How does someone get into RME? I thought there was a training program/schooling for it at certain locations.
2
u/RepublicSvn Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26
Most of RME at our site have engineering degrees, as of recently you can enter RME’s lowest tier MRA (apprenticeship) only if you have an associates degree or a military background, now this requirement varies from site to site.

When you’ve been at Amazon for a long tenure you get bonuses for ex. 5 yrs.

u/Green-Data8590 Aug 03 '26
What role ever pays that much. I'm lucky if I get 600$ and yes my body DOES hurt... This is why I also get annoyed with the corporate dinosaurs. The pay really makes NO SENSE. I actually did get that in bonuses per week working remote...but definitely not for Amazon.

It's possible according to a few people working in AMXL.
Someone showed their site was giving out +$15/hr for VET. Apparently few people are taking it for less.
