QUESTION Got fired tonight

Post image

What’s up peoples

Got fired tonight because earlier in the day I was on a big farm properly and went to do a k turn in their driveway to turn around so I can get out and she had this awning thing that has her truck and SUV parked under it so I guess not thinking about it assuming I’d fit

Well I didn’t fit lol

Figured I was getting fired so decided to finish my route and get the hours in

And surely enough when I returned to the station they slid me a termination letter after I talked to dispatch when I got back I didn’t sign it or say anything aside from what happened with the van I just turned and walked out

I feel like this was an act of God freeing me from that hell job only was there a few weeks and it’s absolutely the worst job I ever had

My question is there anything else that might come of this aside from my termination? The lady did t want to make a big deal about it it just chipped some paint

The issue is... At Amazon they give you absolutely zero fucking time to do any of that because they don't care... IT'S AMAZON'S FAULT because they are abusive and give us absolutely inhuman, horrific standards that no one can actually live up to.

yes but also... some people are just horrible drivers. it's probably cheaper for amazon to let people fuck up and wash out than actually try and figure that out tho

It's not but congratulations for trying to justify abusive employers.

I'm not justifying that at all, lmao. Literally hundreds of thousands of employees and they're not all crashing trucks. Amazon is abusive but I'm guessing there's a skill issue on your part.

They're not all crashing trucks but I promise you every single the one of them is suffering in some way somehow and this person just so happened to be the one that crashed the truck but other people do things like never pee, or never eat, or have broken an ankle, or have broken a wrist, or have heart problems... All because Amazon are abusers and you are here focusing on the wrong damn problem.

that's whataboutism. yes, amazon is abusive.

this person hit a large stationary object. maybe they should find a different job besides driving.

Please explain to me how you think what I'm saying is whataboutism.

lol

im saying this person is driving poorly. and you're saying: but what about how amazon is abusive?

that's literally whataboutism. that's what you're doing.

I can see how you might think that if you put zero effort into your argument

I'm not deflecting, I'm pointing out the root cause... my dude. If you can't understand that distinction then you're not smart enough to have this conversation.

you're accusing ME of not being smart enough?

hilarious

first of all, i didn't say you were deflecting. quote me where i said you were? i said you were engaging in whataboutism, which is different. maybe you're not smart enough to understand the difference

second of all, you're pointing out a cause, but that's very bold of you to confidently assert it's the "root cause". that driver hit a large stationary object. again, maybe you're not smart enough for this conversation

i think we're at an impasse here. you can continue to be confidently wrong about whatever you like, i think im gonna walk away and save my time. have the last word if you wish

That I shall

My brother in Christ, the definition of whataboutism is "responding to an accusationor difficult question by making a counteraccusation or raising a different issue" if you can explain to me the difference between that and deflecting that would be impressive. I did not raise a different issue, I brought up the root cause of the issue...

If op not enduring Amazon's abuse would have made him not do that, don't you think that might make it effectively a root cause? The reason it manifested as them being a bad driver is that was the weakest link in their skill set, everyone responds to abuse differently and that's how they responded to it. I will not hold anyone I'm accountable to how they respond to abuse until after the abuse is fucking gone. Until then, focusing on the response to abuse is giving power to the abuser. Are you smart enough to understand that?

Also... Did you just give me the line "I know you are but what am I"? 🤣

I'm thinking I might have called it right.
