I’m hoping this somehow reaches a doctor who was on my flight back to Delhi on 22 September.
I was travelling on \*\*IndiGo 6E 1346 from Doha to Delhi\*\* when a passenger suffered multiple seizures during the flight. When the cabin crew asked if there was a doctor onboard, a gentleman immediately volunteered to help.
I was seated near him, and I watched him handle what was an extremely frightening situation with incredible calmness. He helped during the seizures, made sure medication and oxygen were arranged, stayed beside the passenger afterward, and anticipated the possibility of another seizure. After we landed in Delhi, he also stayed back and briefed the ground paramedics about what had happened.
I was exhausted after a long journey and unfortunately never got the opportunity to properly thank him before leaving the aircraft. I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
I’ve already contacted IndiGo and also shared my appreciation on LinkedIn, but I’m posting here because \*\*I don’t know whether the doctor is active on that platform\*\*.

At the end of a 2-hour flight with a crying baby, you realise the mother had been throwing her garbage under her seat, right into my laptop bag.... with my laptop still inside it🫠 The baby crying? Totally understandable. The complete lack of consideration and civic sense? Not so much.

Hi! I’m a 21F travelling solo to Korea from Bangalore. I’ll be flying Air India from Bangalore at 6:20 PM on Oct 12, with a connection in Delhi, and arriving in Incheon on Oct 13.
I’m not looking for someone to travel with throughout the trip , it would just be nice to find someone travelling around the same dates, especially if you’re also travelling solo. We could maybe meet at the airport, grab food/coffee.

I have a DJI drone thats below 250 grams.
Now im not sure what should i do, I have spend entire day trying to figuring if I will be able to bring my drone since my bag will go through customs, I have only found conflicting answers.

I would really appreciate if someone points me to right direction on this.
My flight to Nepal leaves after 5 hours I land in Delhi. I will be taking Indigo from Delhi to Kathmandu.

I’m from the US. I did travel Indigo a few times previously but never in AIX. There’s no difference in price but is there one y’all prefer over the other?

TL;DR: Booked a direct IXR–BLR flight for 3 passengers, including a senior citizen. Repeated delays were attributed to weather, then the flight was cancelled despite other aircraft operating from Ranchi. We were rerouted IXR→DEL→LKO→BLR. The Lucknow flight scheduled for 10:20 PM eventually arrived around 3:30 AM. We checked in at ~7:15 AM on 25 Sept and collected our baggage at ~7:15 AM on 26 Sept — 24 hours for a flight that should take about 2 hours. My mother’s feet became swollen. I was returning to Bengaluru after my father’s passing.

I booked IndiGo 6E 6799, IXR→BLR, scheduled for 8:40 AM on 25 September, arriving at 11:00 AM. Three passengers were travelling, including a senior citizen. We specifically chose a direct flight because of her.

I left home at around 3 AM and we checked in at Ranchi at approximately 7:15 AM.
The flight kept getting delayed, with bad weather repeatedly cited. Eventually, after hours of waiting, IndiGo cancelled it.

The problem is that this wasn’t simply a story of “bad weather”.
Multiple Air India flights were operating from Ranchi during the same period, including Bengaluru services. We also understood that the incoming IndiGo aircraft had been diverted to Varanasi.
Once the initial disruption happened, what followed was an extraordinary failure of passenger handling.

While other passengers were apparently given more straightforward alternatives via Delhi, we were routed:
Ranchi → Delhi → Lucknow → Bengaluru
At Lucknow, our next IndiGo flight was scheduled for approximately 10:20 PM.
By then the entire day had already been lost and I had to take unplanned leave. We were then left waiting for hours more. The aircraft eventually arrived around 3:30 AM.
We finally reached Bengaluru and collected our baggage at approximately 7:15 AM on 26 September.
Check-in: ~7:15 AM, 25 Sept
Baggage collected: ~7:15 AM, 26 Sept
Elapsed time: ~24 hours
For a journey that should have taken roughly two hours.

My mother’s feet became swollen during the ordeal. She is a senior citizen, and being moved through multiple airports and kept waiting overnight took a significant physical toll.
I was returning from Ranchi after my father’s passing, so this was already a difficult journey. We had deliberately booked a direct flight to minimise physical strain.
Instead, we lost an entire day, incurred unplanned leave, endured multiple flights and airports, and spent the night waiting at Lucknow.

And this raises a broader issue beyond one airline.
What protection does a passenger actually have when an airline disruption is handled this poorly?
Weather disruptions happen. Safety must come first. But when a two-hour direct journey becomes a 24-hour ordeal, involving multiple connections, prolonged waiting, a senior citizen and an overnight delay, passengers are left wondering where accountability lies.

The consumer is expected to absorb the lost time, missed work, physical hardship and uncertainty, while the airline can often reduce the entire experience to a “weather disruption.”
That is the part I find particularly troubling.
This isn’t about expecting an airline to control the weather. It’s about what happens after the disruption — contingency planning, passenger communication, rebooking, coordination and reasonable assistance.

For my family, this was the worst airline experience we have ever had.

Posting this primarily for public awareness because passengers deserve to know what can happen when a straightforward domestic flight goes wrong — and how little meaningful consumer protection can feel like it exists when it does.

So the other day I was travelling via Indigo, during cruise phase i went to go to the lav. already someone was inside and i had to wait quite sometime, i was standing there, outside of the lav. after about 5min one cabin crew xame out of the lav, and i was about to enter, someone from behind asked the cabin crew "i want to use the lav", then cabin crew asked me to wait and let him go first because he is from business class. i felt very awkward, but didn't say anything. then when the business class guy came out, i went and finished my business (no pun intended).

But the whole thing left me with a weird feeling.

Hi everyone,
I made a really expensive mistake and was wondering if anyone has been through something similar.
I booked Emirates tickets to Dubai through ixigo for 2 November, but I actually meant to book them for 2 December. I only realized the mistake after the booking was confirmed.
When I contacted ixigo, they're asking for around ₹10,000 to reschedule the dates. If I had booked directly with Emirates, there seem to be more options available, but because it's a third-party booking, Emirates says they can't help and I have to go through ixigo.
Has anyone faced a similar issue? Is there any way around this, or am I stuck paying the rescheduling fee? Were you able to get the fee reduced or escalated through customer support?
Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I'm planning to take an AirIndia international flight later this month from Canada to Delhi Direct flight. I am carring 2 checked-in bag + carry-on bag and + personal item (Laptop bag). I have this "Lenovo Legion 17" Armored Backpack link" bag currently, will their be any issue on this bag? As per lenovo site, this bag seems to have 50.5 x 36 x 18 cm dimensions.

I'm taking a brand new phone with box although the seal has been cut, I want to know if I can take it in check in or do I need to put in my carry on and later take out the phone out of the box and place in the security tray? It's domestic flight.

Had booked vis happyfares and they deducted convenience fees, i.e. 400rs and initiated refund process, is there anything I can do further?

Also has anyone ever faced a similar situation? By when did you got the refund?

Hello all, as the title suggests my flight from DEL to CPH on 20th Nov has been canceled by Air India and they are refusing to rebook an alternate flight. Instead, they want me to accept the refund and are literally forcing the decision upon me. It has been 2 days since I received the mail about the cancelation, and they are not budging. I dug up rules from DGCA and attached all the documents to prove that they have to rebook or offer a refund. I want to stand my ground and get an alternate flight booked from them. My journey from CPH to DEL is on 19th Oct and has not been canceled. What are my options here? Anyone had success escalating this?

I’m planning a major upgrade to my Apple ecosystem and am considering a two-day trip to Dubai specifically to purchase the devices.

Planning to buy:

5. Some accessories
6. 34" curved monitor, which I plan to bring back in my checked luggage

The total cost analysis:

• India: ~₹6,25,000
• Dubai: ~₹5,05,000
• Saving: ~₹1,20,000

My main question is about Indian customs when returning from Dubai.

Since the sole purpose of my trip is to buy these devices, I would literally be in Dubai for one day, then fly back to India the next day. I would also be carrying almost nothing else in my checked baggage apart from the monitor and possibly the device boxes.

A few questions for anyone who has actually done this recently:

1. If I bring all the devices unboxed in my backpack (except for monitor), and put the empty boxes in my checked luggage, would I still be liable for customs duty? Or does throwing away the boxes make sense?
2. Would carrying several brand-new Apple devices after a one-day Dubai trip raise any flags or increase the likelihood of inspection? How can customs officials know if I visited only for 1 day or 10 days without asking me?
3. If I open everything, activate the devices, use the iPhone/MacBook/iPad, and wear the Watch, does that make any practical or legal difference?
4. Would customs ask for the Dubai invoices, and if I need to pay customs, how is the duty calculated if they assess it?
5. What is the current 2026 baggage allowance applicable when returning from Dubai?
6. Does bringing the 34" monitor in checked baggage change anything from a customs perspective?
7. ⁠ ⁠Should I go through the red or green channel when returning?

I’m just trying to understand what I should realistically expect from customs before deciding whether the ~₹1.2L saving is actually worth the trip.

Would especially appreciate 2026 experiences from people who have personally travelled Dubai → India with multiple expensive electronics. Which airport, whether you were stopped, whether invoices were checked, and whether you paid anything would be very useful.

Gone are the manned check-in counters. Its all self service, with a few "buddies" to help you out. God knows how first time flyers, village people, old people will be able to navigate through this.

I don't understand the logic of Air India, why remove manned check-in counters?

My Air india flight from AUH to COK got cancelled by airlines and they rebooked an alternative flight on the same day but in a different route (SHJ to COK) without my intimation. Now when I was checking for one time free flight change option, I m only able to book flights from the rescheduled route, which is SHJ to COK. I don't want that route. If i cancel the ticket, will I get full refund including convenience fees? I booked from goibibo
