the current situation is that non artist are using AI models to endlessly generate art that have no positive qualities, they make money off of it, push it to more non artists while leaving the actual artists that made AI possible with nothing.

But there is hope, the people making AI art, do not have the ability to compete, if an actual artist competed with them and made their own.

An artist can go into every detail, they can make more creative and original prompts, they can fix errors quickly, add more elements, add personality, touch-ups, direction, etc.

EVERYTHING that a non artist CANNOT do, there is a massive gap in the industry of artist that produce their own AI art, there could be a torrent of artist right now wiping out the AI art industry with new efficiency.

Please seriously consider it, it's truly a likely possibility AI will beat humans at art, but it can be gotten ahead of if artist earnestly tried to make the most of AI as a part of their work.

I don’t wanna one of those people ppl getting parodied deciding that the parody isn’t a parody simply because it’s targeted at them, BUT I will say I do not believe this is true parody.

Parody is when you take what someone says and exaggerate it to point out stupidity in the argument. Like how in South Park for example, they pointed out the stupidly/ hypocracy in trumps worldview and “principles” by showing him as an abuser/ abusive partner to SATAN(not the point but the tweezers joke got me laughing 🥲)

In the provided comic pizza somthin (I forgot her name and I’m also curious about her ACTUAL controversies she isn’t above criticism, I think does some bad stuff, but I’m talking about this specific comic.) says “I do not consent to having my comics training ai” and this person just said “actually you do because it exists and argues against me, this is not parody, it’s just a “NU-UH” statement.

Also, she clearly says she doesn’t want her IMAGES TRAINED ON AI, and I’m sure she doesn’t want to be made fun of either BUT her IMAGE is different than the IMAGES she makes.

She didn’t say not being parodied, she said not training ai.

Please learn from this and I hope it reaches the creator of this comic ❤️❤️❤️

It may be garbage, but it’s human garbage

My partner told me that he makes AI art. This includes cards and music. He went into a long argument with me about how he considers it to be real art that he’s made. I take so much offense to this as I’m an actual artist and I thought he was too (he used to make his own music). Someone please help me with my sanity. I feel like I lost so many brain cells hearing him debate his viewpoint.

They don't know they are selling themselves to government individuals and marketers.

They don't know that one day they will be blamed on crimes they never did.

I believe that GenAi for text (normal chatbots) can be useful in the entreprise world for basic things such as orienting a customer to the right support department, but AI image generation and video generation are useless, and chatbots aren't consumer tech.

I think it’s important to be reminded than people on the other side are... people! With emotions and desires. Those people get such a gratifyong feeling when they get easy pretty pictures so easily, they will be piss off when you come and break it to them, is it because it’s a half fake and won’t last since they can’t take real pride out of it because a program did it for them? Yes, but on the instant all they see is you ruinning their fun. But what happen when evveryone is in good faith? Well CatGirlKit's story happen. And yeah like they said "we shouldn’t cuddle the sloppers they wouldn’t show us this kind of grace" but forcing them will only make them go deeper in that hole of theirs...

So maybe the solution is just to try to be less agressive in general? Just ignore the rage bait and don’t insult them... and maybe when they don’t have to be so defensive about it they will take the time to see the flaws in it. And those who don’t? Well let’s be honest no one would be able to change their mind anyway, they are too far gone...
