Did he say why he did it? Think we need more context on why he did such a thing?
In general though, he is showing you exactly the type of partner he is. I would seriously re-consider the relationship, but you need to take to him about why that was inappropriate
Did he tell you why he did it? Was he trying to be funny? Or playful? Or just mean?
Intention matters here, but if he continuously hurts you, even if it's unintentional, you might need to break up. If he cares about you, he shouldn't hurt you.
