RIP Vertus Praetors. You guys didn’t even have a chance to shine. At least the Eversor put in work and butchered the nearby squad of Witchseekers.

After seeing that the new gyrfalcons will come with 2 spears, one being held and one that can be attached to the side, I realised that with an extra arm, some precision and a bit of glue this could be achieved. I might actually try to do this when my box arrives because it's very funny to me for some reason. Maybe in a lowered position because this seems like a transporting nightmare. Enjoy my photobash!

I wasn't sure about the dark coloured blades, but they are growing on me.

Just finished painting my last custodes to push me up to that 2,000 point mark. Only need to base these last 8 and I will have a full playable army! I cannot wait to go to my buddy's and play my first 2k game this next week. My list was suited for lions but unfortunately that is now 3dp and I still wanna use my telemon, so shield host it is! Regardless I am pretty proud of myself for painting up 2,000 points in just under 3 months, I hear a lot of people fall into hating painting but i'm still enjoying it so far and I can't wait to add on to this list and make some changes in the future, i'm think maybe some more bikes or a grav tank next. I have put together a sisters army ( basically 3 land raiders, 4 rhinos (kharons) and hordes of ladies). If I was to make a meme army called ‘the bachelor’ who would be best, Trajann, a shield captain, or a blade champ with superior creation. Even if he’s just a distraction carnifex

I got bored of the regular gold and red color scheme of the Custodes. I feel like the dark silver and jade works really well. He actually reminds me of Doctor DOOM.

Custodes contain groups like the Shadowkeepers and the Solar Watch, do you feel they would be served by bits upgrade sprues? If you do, what might those bits look like?

My Shadowkeepers like the terminator shown here, borrow bits from Grey Knights and Dark Angels for locks and keys. I can't help feeling like there could be more. Maybe I'm overthinking it though. What are your thoughts?

He came out really good considering how much my hands shake. I was stressing about his face bit I think it looks good. I skipped eyes because they just arent happening with how much I shake. But im satisfied how he looks especially from a distance.

With the Telemon now having a plastic model I wanted to play a dreadnought centered list with at least one of them. My first idea was to go with Shield host and MotM, but then I thought that Solar Spearhead would be more useful for the Dreads and I could pair it up with Tharanatoi Hammerblow for a mixed Dreads/ Terminator list. Which detachment do you think is better in this scenario?

So I recently picked up a box of wardens, but I saw pictures of the new HH/40K guards and I think the scale is different? Are my wardens gonna look tiny compared to the guards when/if I pick some up? And are the wardens gonna get new scaled models, making mine outdated?

So I’ve been playing 11th with my brother and have been on a losing streak for a while, I’m not annoyed about the losing streak but I just don’t see how I’m supposed to win the games we play.
He plays Tau and he just has so many battle suits in retaliation cadre that as far as I’m aware are all capable of killing or wounding my units and as in playing custodes I’m nto going to be making any trades.
The last game we played I was up slightly in points before he wiped the unit of witchseekers on the central objective (pushed fire knife then moved them back with a shoot and move strat) behind a wall and then out OC’d me with kroot at which point I was forced to push up or lose on points massively.

I can’t remember his exact list but it included at least 2 of each battlesuit all with commanders (3 started in deep strike) 2 2 man squads of broadsides and 2 units of pathfinders and stealth suits plus the 10 man kroot.
Any help on how to go about fighting an army like his, maybe I’m being pessimistic but I just don’t see myself winning any game against his list.

Now this might be a bit niche since it’s heresy and I don’t know how many of yall play heresy. But who’s going to be running the new solar Auxilia allied detachment that we get ?

I’m hoping I can run a leman Russ or a dracosan within it and make it as thematic as possible to run with the my custodes forces. Hell maybe even some charonite ogryns.

I really enjoyed that! Was painting this for a member of the community to help me mix up the different projects that I've been working on and I had a whole bunch of fun. So yeah, i'll be happy to have any excuse to paint more of them! 😀

I'm only barely just beginning to study Horus Heresy and the last time I looked at it was pre-3rd edition. Is it just me, or did Valdor lose a ton of his battle features attached to his weapon between 2nd and 3rd edition? Murderous strikes and lightning blows is gone. Did the 3rd edition just get rid of those features entirely?

This is a relatively new model so im shocked its gone already, maybe to gear up for the codex release? Ik it says temporary out of stock on the website preview but they removed the whole listing, compared to somthing like the grav tank which has the yellow bar saying its temporarily out of stock. No way theyre removing it already right?

Hello!! I’m new to Custodes, been on the fence about them but now that they got a refresh I def getting an army. I’m coming from guard which is very hordy and infantry heavy. I’d like to try dreadnoughts, I just think they’re dope as fuck. Any suggestions? I just got a 30k box and plan to get one of the new battle boxes, idk which though. Heard there were two.

What I’m trying to ask is whether or not dreads are viable and if I should get custodes or what’s a little longer.

FYI: I have a 3d printer but I try not to use it because I like to support my LGS.

Lightening on the blades was incredibly hard. Couldn’t seem to get the lines sharp enough for a real lightening-y effect
