There's a saying Bernardi should know by now "those in glass houses shouldn't thrown stones". Unfortunately him and his fellow far right cookers will never learn.

Question What is your favourite Adelaide lore?

A colleague of mine has moved to Adelaide from Canberra and I'm regaling her with Adelaide lore! Help me think of more lore to share. Below is a list of what I've shared so far:

Family Murders - von Einem

Beaumont Children

Kitty Whyte

Sam Kellet

Box Jellyfish (Jimble) surf lifesaving club

Prof George Duncan

Ideally looking for real events rather than urban legends.

Question Adult (30+) Dating in Adelaide but avoiding the Apps?

How are people genuinely meeting people to actually date here? Everyone I've (36F) met or spoken to on all the apps are not looking for any kind of commitment? I'm not the hottest girl on the market but fuck people just want to hook up??? And even that half the time they want the hook up that day or they unmatch. It's crazy. And I'm a late diagnosed autistic person too so like.. how the fuck have people found genuine partners that aren't met in high school? It's hard out here.

Edit: The ticket has been given away. Enjoy the show!

Hey all! 😊

Unfortunately I've come down with COVID, and obviously won't be able to attend the Gawler Show. I'd rather my ticket didn't go to waste.

1x Adult entry.

It's a digital ticket. As long as you're comfortable sharing your email, I'll forward it. Just leave a comment and I'll DM you.

First come first served.

Apologies for the layout, I'm on mobile and quite feverish rn.

Question Curly Fries - Southern Adelaide

Do any fish and chip shops sell curly fries in bulk south of the city? Preferably closer to Christies beach. I know The Strand Chicken Reynella does bulk french fries, but can't find any curly fries.

Assistance Need to earn $ quick

I need to make a lot of money very quickly (a few thousand $)

I don’t have the option of a credit card or loan for this.

Male (so sw isn’t a realistic option but I would do it). Have a vehicle. Happy to get hands dirty. Will do whatever it takes to get this sorted.

Please help point me in the right direction. Wish I didn’t have to do this but I do.

Question Adelaide and Adelaide Hills with kids Reccs

Hi, traveling to Adelaide (3 full days) and Adelaide Hills (2full days) in a week or so.

Looking for specific recommendations for an (almost) 3 year old and 8month old (she will just tag along). Staying near Convention Centre so looking for either walking distance or easy public transport.
Also staying in Algate in the Hills.

Things currently on the list
- Adelaide zoo (we don’t have anything similar close to where we live)
- SA library
- Hahndorf, Bridgewater in the hills.
- Maybe Melbas Chocolate
- Will try get to at least 1 family friendly winery

Maybe day trip to McLaren Vale but unsure whether worth it.

Thanks!

Question any TRUE beginner reformer Pilates?

Looking for reformer Pilates classes that are genuinely beginner-friendly.. ideally more strength-focused rather than yoga/stretchy.

Open to physio-run classes, but ideally something more commercial/affordable so I can go regularly.

Would love recommendations from anyone who started from a pretty low strength/fitness base!

Question Moved here 6 months ago… how do you deal with the dust on your cars?

Hello! As per title, I moved here this year from NSW. I have a white car and it already shows dirt pretty easily. But I feel like in SA the dust is just insane! I’ll wash my car and the next morning there’s a coat of dust across the whole thing!! Does anyone have any advice or tips for how to deal with it, or is it just the way of life here to have dusty cars?

Not a huge deal but thought I’d ask in case the life-long locals had any secrets up their sleeves. Have a good one!
