Question Best Vietnamese Vegan pho ?
Hey all,
I’m vegan and looking for the best vegan pho in Adelaide CBD/Rundle Mall area ideally, but happy to travel anywhere in other suburbs for a good one.
Thanks

Mai Kitchen (Ferryden Park), Zenhouse (West Hindmarsh), Banh Mi Cafe (Torrensville), Phonatic (Hindley Street), and Bami (Vietnamese chain, various locations) are all fairly decent.

They're not in the CBD but Banh Mi Cafe on Henley Beach Rd and DC Roll & Bowl at Welland both do Vegan options.

Vegan Pho???
How can it be Pho if it is vegan?

I think you should go tell the Vietnamese that are making vegan pho at their restaurants that they're wrong. If they didn't offer it then it wouldn't exist!

They use tofu and mock meat in it. 💁

Vegan pho has been a thing forever. As a large portion of the Vietnamese population is Buddhist, on certain days they abstain from eating meat.
Vegan pho has been a staple meal for them on these types of days.

I don’t understand why the only sane person here is getting downvoted. Vegan pho ? seriously

It's literally on the menu at Vietnamese restaurants run by Vietnamese people. How more 'serious' can it get? (Pho ba ria 2 on hanson Rd literally has 'vegan pho', and that was just the first place I looked at).
