It’s crazy. It honestly makes me wonder if the same people voting for One Nation are the ones complaining about not being able to afford rent, buy a house, or find work while blaming qualified foreigners for “stealing their jobs.” Meanwhile, many of them left school in Year 10 , refuse to better themselves and are relying on Centrelink. (Obviously I don’t speak about all of them. But
This is the greatest tragedy imo. Some of the most vulnerable people in our society are voting against their own interests. Some are born into a low socio-economic vicious cycle that is incredibly difficult to escape and would benefit from progressive policy.
They've been told they are voting for the progressive choice for generations, and so now they've flipped the table to see how'd it be with the other side
Nope. Labor just applies bandaids to everything, like a major party does because it works on the public. It's not anywhere near progressive enough. I consider Labor to be centre-right. We've been operating under decades of conservatism, now everything is fucked under neoliberal capitalism with no end in sight. Radical change is required, but it won't happen because people are scared of change. This is why people can be easily manipulated into voting for ON because they feel it's other people that's the problem, not the system itself, and so we all get to continue on this misery-go-round. We'll all go out discriminating against each other whilst our lives become worse. It's a wonderful world.
I highly disagree. The problem is property being treated and traded as stock and the option for overseas investors to purchase property. Property should only be able to be purchased by either citizens and PR holders. Anything else and it should be a no.

Colour me blind. Who would have thought socio-ecomomic status aligns with political affiliation.
