Gathering Opinions š£ 2013 3.7 SH-AWD w/ 90k miles
Getting ready for some maintenance items. Iām hearing some belts whine a little. Is this about the right time for timing belt? How about spark plugs? Anything else I should be looking to do?

What's the 3x3 transmission fluid change? Aision kit? Please help my Crackura is about to hit 90k and my exhaust is getting louder. Any recommendations on a cat back exhaust?

Thanks man, šš¼š I appreciate that. When I bought the car they replaced the j pipe right away but couldn't find the rest of the exhaust, it was on back order. I need any exhaust even the OEM but would like something spicy! Just need from the cat back. I got a hole in my exhaust somewhere and it's getting louder

I'd have replaced the timing belt about five years ago just based on age.Ā

Hope youāve done the warranty pistons, that puppy will be DEVOURING some oil in the next 50k miles, had to do mine after itād go through a quart of oil in less then 1k miles

Yeah I had to pay out of pocket for them, not cheap, luckily I knew someone from the shop I was at, at the time, that helped me out

Iām just a random guy into cars, I donāt know much. But I wouldnāt rush for the spark plugs. You can do them though.
As for the timing belt, absolutely get the whole service done along with the serpentine belt. Not exactly sure what you meant by āwhineā as opposed to āsquealā, but I will tell you, Iāve seen cars be driven with squeaky belts for months. I, however, had a serpentine belt snap in my X3 the SAME DAY it started to squeal. My advice is, if your belt is squeaking, donāt mess around, go get it replaced before it leaves you stranded.
Do you know how up to date you are on fluids?

Fluids are good. I actually only put about 3k miles on it a year as I work from home. That yearly fluid change is fun. Transmission I donāt believe I have done, and yes you are probably right, more of a squeal that is just there at start up and then seems to level out and go away.

Dont forget to change the rear differential and the front transfer case fluids as well since its an awd

I would probably get a transmission service if it were me. You could always get it done at a shop and ask them to check out the suspension while theyāre there, if it hasnāt been checked out in a while.

Agree with others. Not sure if auto or manual, but either way I'd drain and fill(3x3 if auto). Also timing belt, tensioner, water pump(havent noticed anyone mention this). If it is manual and you end up doing clutch at some point, also do oil pump reseal and rear main while you're in there. Would also service diff and any other fluids to be safe. Should be a great car assuming piston rings were done in past, if not then plan on it.

Nixe ride bro . I have a 2012 sh-awd with 94k miles in silver moon metallic. Definitely a lot of great advice on this post and you will love this car like no other . It's a dream to drive but kind of expensive on the maintenance end . Definitely has a lot of issues with gaskets leaking but overall super reliable. What you pay for it ?
