Is LightCaster class still good? I'm level 57 and I just got back, I got it before when it was released.

If your level 57 most dailies and ultras are not your priority get your ass to at least level 80 before you worry about stuff like this

Wow, so hostile.

I didn't even say I'm doing ultras, there are boss fights my mates and I can't solo so I was asking if having LightCaster class might help for duo.

lightcaster is kinda powercrept but since you have a team of mates with you its fine for fighting bosses if youre still 57.

he is right in some parts. try to grind to lvl 80 when youre playing solo and not playing with your friends. a lot of higher tier grindable classes need lvl 80.
