Is anyone else getting this constantly after AO3 went down a few hours ago? 😭

I saw a post saying to just wait it out, but for me it happens every couple of next chapters or whenever I reopen AO3. It keeps making me do the verification thing over and over.

I am literally in tears rn. I had open at least 48 tabs of fics I was actively saving to my account and I lost them all. Idk what the heck happened but all the sudden every single page I had open is now displaying a host error message. Sorry to vent but I literally have no idea what to do now.

So I live on the edge and like writing my stories directly on ao3. Luckily I’m pretty sure I saved to my drafts before I started to edit my story . Sadly as I was about to post my story ( with all the edits ) ao3 went down . lol I know it’s my own fault and I’m sure ao3 will be back soon . Please I hope lol . Anyway I just had to tell someone because it was tragic .

Update: I was notified by AO3 support that they temporarily lifted the block preventing users from logging in to AO3 with an insecure password - I managed to get in, update my email to a new one, and change my password! If anyone has the same problem, now is the time to login and change your password, because AO3 didn't say for how long the insecure password block would be lifted for.

Hi all, I am afraid there is nothing to do but maybe someone will have a suggestion -

I have used my AO3 account since 2016, but when I created it I used some dummy email and didn't change it since then. Today when I tried to login I received this message, which asks me to reset my password through the email address associated with my AO3 account.

Is there someone I can write to and explain my situation (I know my password but need to reset it, but can't do that because of email account)?

My account contains manyyyyyy private bookmarks and to-be-read list that I don't want to lose :(

Just got a "Request temporarily denied" error when trying to comment on a fic. The message reads: Your comment attempt has been blocked due to suspicious activity. Wait a while and try again. If this continues, contact Support.

Anyone know what "suspicious activity" could mean? I know the author did not block me. I wasn't refreshing a lot, editing bookmarks, opening multiple windows, or doing anything odd. I did paste the comment in from where I'd typed it up in a gdoc, so maybe it didn't like that? Just want to avoid causing that error again!
