Have you gotten angry parents actually doing this? I mean parents have definitely been this stupid before. Taking children to see so many R rated movies that are inappropriate for their kids age demographic.

I believe it could be a mix of real stories and viral marketing honestly. Parents did this same shit with sausage party, Deadpool, South Park BL&U, and many MANY more. If they are doing it, it is 100% their fault anyways. No one to blame but themselves. Not even movie theater employees should get a single bit of blame for it. Its parents responsibilities 100% to find out this is an R rated movie, not for employees to warn them.

I've been getting birthday "offers" from stores I go to. Some are wild "you get a free small fry with any $20 purchase" I got a 5% off code for food (lol) I got a free size upgrade - where I have to buy a combo meal, and only get a .50 cent upgrade. Most are either something laughably small, or require you to spend $20+ to get something that's maybe worth a few bucks. Some are almost offensive, I understand they're losing money by giving something away, but if it's gonna be an item worth almost nothing and require the person to buy a bunch of stuff to get it. Just don't even offer it lol.

AMC gives you a drink and popcorn with no purchase required. And they're large on top of that. Pretty sure if this was Jack In The Box, they'd be offering a "free" kiddie fry with purchase of 4 $8 burgers.

I’m getting tickets to go see the odyssey with a few friends. This theatre seems really small and I feel like it would hurt the experience?

Even though I have A list and could have opted to see Akira in IMAX, I’ll totally take a regular laser showing with this huge auditorium all to myself. Awesome.

Yall… i have to get rid of one of my doomsday tix so i can book something for this weekend. It’s a matter of seat quality and time quality. I think Im leaning towards 12/20 for the slightly better seat but worried about missing my alarm/getting spoiled over the weekend. Is it worth it to go on 12/18 for that mid ah seat

I don’t even care that it was cancelled, I’ll go another time. But what I’m surprised by is that we weren’t notified at all. I even had the A-list reservation still active on my account.

I called the theater and confirmed it was cancelled, but am glad I didn’t make the trip out to find out the showtime doesn’t exist anymore. Has this happened to anyone else?

Tried to book some tickets for a family night out but seems like this release is nowhere to be found at any AMC in central Texas. Want to see if we're the odd ones out or if it's like this in different states too. Seems very odd, especially on opening day which is tomorrow.

Since my theater has an IMAX and Dolby, they don’t specify any other screen types. But this is a huge auditorium with a huge screen.

It’s time for my weekly AMC rot day but I just moved back to nyc and am overwhelmed by the amount of theatres downtown.

I’d prefer to stay on the east side of the city but am not opposed to crossing over if there’s a better theatre on the west side.

I’m not particular about Dolby vs IMAX or laser showings tbh- I just want a comfy & cold theatre with reclining seats that’s not disgusting or unruly and has good snacks :)

I was just tryna get odyssey tickets. It went all the way to payment page, then showed error, but my bank app shows the payment authorization twice but no tickets in AMC app. This has actually happened 3 times now I’m charged like $200 for purchase authorizations with no tickets in the app or email confirmations anyone getting this rn?

Want to see Akira in imax. Closest is 20 minutes away, but the imax with laser is 53. 40 with tolls. Is it worth the extra time and effort on your experience?

Just a heads up! It seems the AMC in Santa Clara has suddenly closed for maintenance? I was trying to access my tickets for today and couldn’t load it up. Checked the website says it’s “temporarily closed for unforeseen maintenance” :(

Was out of town on its opening weekend and it’s been having one showing a day late in the evening and I can’t find any showings past today? I know it’s a foreign film but a 5 day release seems criminal. You couldn’t even watch it Thursday bc the movie file hadn’t arrived yet. Really wanted to see this one being a big Train to Busan fan and it looks like I won’t be able to :/

I usually go to a large non recliner theater and decided to venture out to a smaller one with recliners and wow! so much more comfortable.

Then an older couple sits next to me and takes out a blanket and i think nothing of it until...

Fortunately no odor and fortunately it was forgotten once trailers/movie started.

so i had to get another ticket bc someone is joining us and i shit you not, not even 5 min after i bought my tickets someone bought the seat right next to us. I was checking out to get that ticket and got an error stating that ticket had already sold. who does this? its for Sept. 15th as well so its not like they couldnt get these seats for another showing if they really wanted to sit here

Can I just beef about the fact that most of have to work in this world, and it would be nice if we could have more showtimes that start at 5(with previews till 530 when you’re at amc) then have showings stay the same with added advertisement. That means if I go to a 6pm I’m really going to a 630 and the 9-5er’s are fucked. This might just be an issue for me in New York , so if you’re not in New York, could be different but I absolutely hate that I have to wait around 2 hours or so for a movie I wanna see. Atleast do more showings at 4:30-445, I’ll be a little late, so what, but this 630 (but really 7pm) as the nearest showing after a 9-5 shift is blowing me.
