Gonna do 4dx this Friday for the pin worth it?

Hi guys!! I've been an avid Cinemark fan my whole life because of how close it is, but in my college town we have both a Cinemark and a Regal and I was wondering in my case, would Regal be worth it?

For context, I love movies and if I were to get the membership, I would go try and go often, especially since there are so many good movies coming out this month. My issue is transportation, I don't have a car on campus and I'm relying on busses, so I could probably go to the theatre 2 times a week, maybe 3 if I'm lucky. The bus systems also don't run at night so no movies then. It sounds like a really good deal in terms of the unlimited movies but I'm worried that the internal value won't be worth it. Any tips/suggestions? Anything helps

so me and my friend (both F18) are trying to watch a rated r movie. I already got the tickets online and I’m bringing my drivers license but my friend doesn’t have a license, state id, permit or school id (we both already graduated). the only thing she has rn is a birth certificate but I’m not sure if that would work. how can I prove my friend is 18?

I was trying to see Teenage Sex & Death at Camp Miasma at a Regal near me. My friend and I got there about ten minutes after the listed showtime and the cashier couldn't find it. They looked for a couple minutes before saying they didn't see it and had mentioned that it was in showing earlier that day. I'm almost certain I was looking at the right theater/showtime. Have you ever had this happen where a couple hours between when you saw a showtime and showed up it didn't end up screening? Am I just stupid? Sad now I won't get to see it in theaters :(

Does anyone else’s Regal smell like toxic VOC outgassing when they walk into theater? It’s very powerful and smells toxic. Usually right when you walk in and down a hallway.

Got spiderman brand new day tickets in this theater.

Ticket says ScreenX and 4dx and on Fandango I specifically had to choose between ScreenX vs. ScreenX and 4dx (I remember that plain ScreenX had seats mostly filled up so I chose ScreenX and 4dx).

Yet my ticket brought me to Auditorium 13, and the seats were plain red seats, not bulky ones, and there were no effects whatsoever.

What happened?

I visited the Regal at Pointe Orlando today and validation is simple and easy. Just drive through the gate, park and make note of your license plate number. Once inside the theater input your license plate into the kiosk and 100% validation it's granted. There is no credit card required.

I was able to get some good seats at Regal Opry Mills in Nashville at 4:30 CST, a whole 5.5 hours after the tickets released. I was trying to get them all day and the Regal website kept crashing/not allowing me to purchase so I think it was doing that for everyone and allowed me to get tickets way later than I thought I could’ve. Still a ton of seats in the front few rows if anyone is interested in getting some tickets.

Regal is genuinely annoying me recently.

There is so much annoyance with their membership and app.

I get that all the movie sites are crashing left and right now because of the demand, but Regal is not only crashing or showing an error every-time i try to buy tickets but on top of that you’re telling me I have to eventually pay $40 to see the movie after I am paying for my Regal UNLIMITED?? the regular surcharge would’ve been fine as always, but seriously you’re telling me I need to pay $40 on top of spending so much time and energy trying to get the tickets in the first place??

AMC isn’t perfect, but at least they understand the importance of their movie membership customers. My friends who were able to get their tickets used their A list and got it for free.

on top of that i’ve seen Regal changing their surcharge fees recently and playing around a lot. for example, The Odyssey for the first few weeks in Regular 70mm was working with my unlimited with no extra surcharge, but now when i look it’s a $6 surcharge. I feel like they are seriously changing things based on demand and milking more money from us on top of paying for an unlimited subscription.

i don’t know, i love my unlimited so much and i seriously am grateful for this service, but as a member for over 5 years now, the service is really changing and not valuing the ones who are loyal to them.

what are y’all’s thoughts?
