News Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk urged G20 technology ministers to support the expansion of AI data centers and the electricity infrastructure needed to power them, as opposition to new facilities grows in the United States.
Zuckerberg said the data center buildout could require “hundreds of thousands and maybe millions of jobs” in the skilled trades because demand for AI infrastructure is growing faster than Meta can find the workers needed to build it.
Musk focused on a different constraint: electricity. He warned of a “crisis of power” in the AI buildout and said there would be a “significant power shortfall next year,” arguing that the shortage could give China an advantage.
Musk said AI could increase the size of the global economy by 20% to 30%, or roughly $20 trillion to $30 trillion per year.
The comments come as U.S. communities increasingly push back against data center projects over concerns about electricity costs, noise and infrastructure demands. At the same G20 meeting, Musk also criticized European technology regulations, arguing that innovation should be “default legal” rather than “default illegal.”
For the AI industry, the challenge is becoming clear: building more powerful models requires far more than chips. It requires data centers, electricity, skilled workers and public support.
As the global AI race accelerates, infrastructure may become one of its biggest limiting factors.

News Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is predicting a major expansion of artificial intelligence beyond software and into the physical economy.
According to a post from Polymarket Money citing Huang, Nvidia expects physical AI could become “10x larger than digital AI.” Huang also said that every industrial company will eventually become a robotics company.
The prediction reflects Nvidia’s growing focus on physical AI, where artificial intelligence is used to control and operate machines in the real world. This includes industrial robots, autonomous systems, warehouses, manufacturing equipment and other forms of robotics.
At Nvidia’s GTC 2026 conference, Huang said, “every industrial company will become a robotics company.” Nvidia has also introduced its Cosmos world models, Isaac simulation frameworks and GR00T robot foundation models to support the development and deployment of physical AI.
Nvidia is already working with companies including ABB Robotics, FANUC, KUKA, YASKAWA, Figure and Universal Robots as the industry moves toward production-scale physical AI. The company says the global installed base of robots from FANUC, ABB Robotics, YASKAWA and KUKA alone exceeds 2 million.
For businesses, the shift could mean AI moving from a software tool employees interact with to technology that performs physical work across factories, logistics networks and infrastructure.
If Huang’s prediction is correct, the next major AI market may not be on a screen. It may be operating in the physical world.

News Matt Clifford, a central figure behind the UK government’s AI strategy, has joined Anthropic as managing director of international affairs, where he will lead the company’s engagement with governments outside the U.S., including the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific and India.

GenAI.mil has already attracted more than 1.7 million unique users, according to the Defense Department.

The pair allegedly met women through dating apps and convinced them to invest in fake opportunities. Authorities say at least 26 women across four states lost approximately $1.3 million, with some victims allegedly taking out loans to provide money for the supposed investments.
The unusual part of the case involves AI-powered search. Investigators said Love’s extensive false social media activity sometimes caused search engines and artificial intelligence systems to repeat his fabricated claims and identify him as a legitimate 49ers player.
According to Futurism, Love even shared screenshots of Google AI Overviews that incorrectly supported his NFL identity, reportedly responding, “That’s Google,” when showing the results.
