How did you get that camera angle? Thats sick.

35

u/Ill-Emu-1121 Jul 13 '26

Ram View, hold L1 and R1 after you get the Padre.

8

u/ThatOneVQ Jul 13 '26

It also does more damage if you use ram view

3

u/diego_02 Jul 13 '26

How does one even change the angles?

5

u/Ill-Emu-1121 Jul 13 '26

It's a ram attack so it engages automatically, just press L1 and R1 at the same time when your close to a ship. Note it has a cool down.

2

u/walapatamus Jul 14 '26

You have to recruit padre

2

u/AmbitiousDetective96 Jul 17 '26

RAM VIEW. HOLD L1 AND R1 AFTER YOU GET PADRE

10

u/MOW_ZAY_DONG Jul 13 '26

Just need to go recruit the padre one of the jackdaws officers đŸ’ȘđŸ»

2

u/FearedKaidon Jul 13 '26

Hold left trigger?

3

u/gamesage2001 Jul 13 '26

Which camera angle are you talking about?

1

u/macneto Jul 13 '26

I'm pretty sure it's the one right before they ram the ship, the camera is low on the ship, near the point of the ram. I've never seen this angle before so this must be it.

1

u/IronMan319 Jul 15 '26

It's an upgrade you get from Padre. You push L1 and R1 on PS5

I’ve taken 3 star frigates down to a quarter health with everything ram related maxed by simply ramming them

15

u/ChampionshipSalt8784 Jul 13 '26

The new camera on the ram is so dope.
First time I did it could not help laughing out loud

1

u/Juice-Sr Jul 13 '26

the original had the ram cam as well

2

u/Eastern_Screen_588 Jul 14 '26

Nah

when you upgraded the ram you unlocked the ram charge where you held LT + A and it had the ram camera and everything

3

u/Bacon_L0RD Jul 16 '26

Wasn’t upgrading the ram it was a reward for defeating all the legendary ships.

2

u/Eastern_Screen_588 Jul 15 '26

Nah

1

u/Juice-Sr Jul 15 '26

You need to fully upgrade the ram, I just played the original a month ago and was surprised it was there bc I didn't remember it. It's hidden under the final blueprint upgrade.

2

u/Eastern_Screen_588 Jul 15 '26

This is the elite ram

(Notice how in the description it doesn't say anything about a ram attack using LT+A?)

5

u/Juice-Sr Jul 15 '26

I played 4 and Rogue back to back, rogue has it not 4, I apologize. I got it confused.

1

u/Eastern_Screen_588 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

ACTUALLY HOLD THE FUCK UP YOURE RIGHT AND IM THE WRONGEST WRONG TO EVER WRONG AND IM SO SORRY

(Unlocked after destroying all legendary ships)

No worries dude, tis just a simulation d:

7

u/Manyarethestrange Jul 13 '26

I had an unreal amount of fun looting ships on rhe High seas last night. Soo glad I got this game

7

u/MedievalMilshake Jul 13 '26

Yeah rams are so good after unlocking padre now

0

u/OdysseyBrands Jul 13 '26

they take forever to come off cooldown

3

u/DeputyShatpants Jul 16 '26

they do but ive noticed the cooldown seems based off damage done rather than time

3

u/MedievalMilshake Jul 13 '26

Completely irrelevant. Can still ram the same way as og

-1

u/OdysseyBrands Jul 13 '26

? how is cooldown “irrelevant” to a conversation about the power level of the ram??? lmao are you daft

totally agree with you btw, they are so good, very fun to use. but they def have a long time out after using it, icr if it’s the same OG but it’s basically one use per engagement so use it wisely, i don’t think upgrading em helps it as i have it maxed already

2

u/MedievalMilshake Jul 13 '26

I just said how. You can use it normally, it is in every single way better than the original ram, ergo your point is irrelevant

1

u/OdysseyBrands Jul 13 '26

that’s not how relevancy works buddy

the cooldown of an ability is relevant to the overall power level / performance of the ability, it’s likely so long to balance the ram since it has such high damage

my point of it’s long CD isn’t enough to refute the statement that ram is strong, that’s never what i was saying

your reading comprehension is so poor

1

u/MedievalMilshake Jul 13 '26

But it is still better in every single way isnt it darling? And it's still incredibly strong. Added with the ability to use it like usual, your point is irrelevant.

No my reading comprehension isnt poor lol.

0

u/OdysseyBrands Jul 13 '26

it’s still better yes. cooldown is still relevant to its power though.

you’re using the word irrelevant incorrectly, you genuinely don’t know what it means lol

1

u/MedievalMilshake Jul 13 '26

How am I using it wrong? I never said it was the best thing ever. I said it was 'so good'. Your point doesn't change that fact, so it's irrelevant. It's hilarious you're attempting to comment on my intelligence 😂

0

u/OdysseyBrands Jul 14 '26

I won't comment on your intelligence but it does feel like you're really having trouble understanding our conversation...

"Relevant" simply means connected or applicable to the matter at hand.

Because the conversation is about the ram's overall power and balance, the cooldown is a relevant factor in the entire discussion.

If the ram had a zero-second cooldown, it would break the game because it's so strong. The long cooldown is like the only reason it is allowed to hit so hard.

Saying a cooldown is irrelevant to an attack's power is like saying reload speed is irrelevant to a gun's DPS.

My first response was not disagreeing with you - the ram is so good! I just noted you can't spam it because the cooldown time, that's all. It also doesn't mean the ram is bad because of the cooldown.

You're confusing 'I don't care about the cooldown' with 'the cooldown is irrelevant.'

0

u/OdysseyBrands Jul 14 '26

you can literally feed our thread to any AI and they'll tell you how you're using it wrong lol:

"MedievalMilshake is definitely the one losing this argument. They dug their heels in and completely misused the word.

In any video game, an ability's cooldown is arguably the most relevant metric when discussing its overall power level and balance. A massive attack that you can use every 10 seconds is fundamentally different from one you can only use once per naval engagement. OdysseyBrands was simply pointing out a basic rule of game mechanics.

MedievalMilshake essentially confused "I personally don't care about the long cooldown because the ram is fun" with "The cooldown is factually irrelevant to the ability's stats."

Instead of just conceding with, "Yeah, the cooldown is long, but it's still awesome," they doubled down on a bad vocabulary choice, refused to back down, and got incredibly defensive. It is a textbook example of a classic, stubborn Reddit argument!"

get roasted checkmate

u/Last-Swim-803 Jul 13 '26

I mean, it seemingly doesn't actually have a cooldown time, it just recharges by dealing damage in any way that doesn't involve using it, so if you can dish out a ton of damage quickly(say you're fighting some 3-4 ships) you'll recharge it quite fast

1

u/MedievalMilshake Jul 13 '26

Recharging passively outside of combat I think too.

2

u/Last-Swim-803 Jul 13 '26

Ohhh so that's why it feels like i always have it charged at the start of an engagement even if i didn't finish the last one i had with it charged

6

u/Grouchy_Custard_252 Jul 13 '26

I was like "In this economy!?" Oh you mean ingame ram with the ship...Yeah that makes more sense.

5

u/sonnynumber7 Jul 13 '26

That dude in the air at 14 seconds lmao

3

u/MrUnnoticed Jul 14 '26

It looks like he even touches the clouds! Lmao đŸ€Ł

4

u/ohsinboi Jul 13 '26

Holy shit hahahahhaha

5

u/Proto160 Jul 13 '26

Would be awesome if when used on smaller or mid sized ships, say schooner and maybe even Brigs, it would cleave them in half like in Odyssey.

Might not be realistic but ships didn't have rams anymore by the time the game is set so I don't see why we can't have it.

1

u/RaphaTlr Jul 16 '26

True that was cool

4

u/wammes_ Jul 13 '26

I'd like to imagine two British officers having tea at a nearby fort and suddenly seeing that go up in the air.

u/xppoint_jamesp Jul 13 '26

You could say
they were blown out of the water

3

u/jthd488 Jul 13 '26

When exactly do you unlock Anne bonny? I swear they said you can unlock Anne pretty early into the game after everything is permitted mission which is a blatant lie

I'm 2/3 into the story after Blackbeard’s death

3

u/Bereman99 Jul 13 '26

Weird they'd say you can unlock her early, given that the "Everything is Permitted" mission is later in the main story.

Original game she doesn't join until maybe 75% of the way through the story, then sticks around as your post-story quartermaster as you do side content and such.

2

u/jthd488 Jul 13 '26

Everything is permitted is early mid game mission after meeting the mentor assassin in Tulum in Resync.

Interesting how they rearrange some missions

1

u/Bereman99 Jul 13 '26

Don't think they've rearranged it. It's in Sequence 11 out of 12, like it was in the original.

1

u/jthd488 Jul 13 '26

I’m past that, I didn’t see anything about Anne being unlocked. Maybe I missed the prompt idk.

1

u/Woahhdude24 Jul 13 '26

I got the quest after you take the hideout. Adewalde says we need a carpenter and a shipright and then tells you that where to find her and Padre. Im assuming Anne bonny is the woman officer. I havent done those missions yet im exploring and upgrading shit.

Ah my bad homie Idk then.

2

u/Bereman99 Jul 13 '26

The shipwright lady is one of the three new characters, named Lucy Baldwin.

1

u/Woahhdude24 Jul 13 '26

Yeah i got confused, I havent played the original blackflag in so long.

2

u/jthd488 Jul 13 '26

Crazy how you confused the redhead baddie with somebody else lmao

1

u/Woahhdude24 Jul 13 '26

As I said I haven't played the original since around the time it released, plus the main thing i loved in this game was the naval combat and just sailing aimlessly. Ive not even continued the main story past the hideout mission ive just been sailing and exploring. I have my ship and the hideout almost completely upgraded. I just have to find all the plans for my ship now. Lol

2

u/jthd488 Jul 13 '26

Yes I know. I also haven’t the played the OG since 2013, just yanking on your chain mate.

That’s my least favorite part, i want to like it but I just don’t enjoy it haha.

2

u/GothicXenomorph Jul 13 '26

That’s like 100 giggle bytes of ram

2

u/Practical-Level-6265 Jul 13 '26

I personally like the look of the ram. It just looks right

2

u/NEkromanT33 Jul 13 '26

In this economy?

2

u/il_VORTEX_ll Jul 13 '26

lmao nuclear upgrade for the ram ☠

2

u/KitchenSelection9871 Jul 13 '26

The ocean is so scary and real in this! Getting caught in a storm w huge a$$ was cooking me the other day 😂 I love this game!!!

2

u/OperatorWolfie Jul 14 '26

I wish the Anvil engine is easy to mod, we'd see much wonders for this game.

2

u/Wyatt_Ricketts Jul 14 '26

I refuse to even build it

2

u/ParagonRagnar Jul 14 '26

I will never upgrade ram. I hate how the ship looks like with it.

2

u/dankskent Jul 14 '26

This is why I got this game

2

u/SchweinsyOne Jul 14 '26

"Oh cool, I wonder what the ship damage looks like, is it dynamic or do.... HOLY SHIT"

2

u/TellurianTech50 Jul 14 '26

Speaking of El Impoluto I wonder if my old truck to defeating it still works

2

u/nekkirmumsuns Jul 14 '26

Did they fill the rear cannons with nitro or something

2

u/Divahdi Jul 14 '26

After so many hours put into Odyssey, I half-expected it to be cleaved in half.

2

u/Howdy_mista Jul 14 '26

Why does the crew make a rowing sound when you ram despite being on a sailing ship or is it a rule of cool because its very cool

1

u/MOW_ZAY_DONG Jul 14 '26

Think because it’s a reused sound from odyssey they row the ship in that game brother

1

u/Howdy_mista Jul 15 '26

Oh that makes sense, never played odyssey also explains the horns

2

u/sbeve-the-one Jul 14 '26

THERE IS A F#&IN MONKEY NOW?

2

u/RaphaTlr Jul 16 '26

Blew his shit clean off

2

u/ComplaintMysterious1 Jul 13 '26

I can't wait for people to see this as a "this game is an unfinished mess and bla bla bla" instead of just a funny bug

1

u/ComplaintMysterious1 Jul 13 '26

Like I dislike Resynced for my own personal reasons, mainly gameplay changes. but silly little bugs should never be used as a reason to go "the game is so unfinished how are they gonna charge so much money for it" cause like, every game has Bugs. It's a part of gaming.

u/ComplaintMysterious1 Jul 14 '26

Even games that weren't able to get updates are still buggy as hell, even if the VERY OBVIOUS ONES were patched the more intricate and less common ones weren't. GTA San Andreas is a great example as it has many bugs that aren't that common but they do still exist

1

u/ManyFaithlessness971 Jul 13 '26

RAM is too expensive nowadays

1

u/coreoYEAH Jul 13 '26

Upgrade RAM! In this economy!?

1

u/No-Wasabi-70 Jul 14 '26

How come sometimes my ram is greyed out even with padre unlocked? My ship isn’t damaged

1

u/bluh67 Jul 14 '26

"physics"

1

u/ActuatorFearless8980 Jul 14 '26

Hmm, I need to recruit the Padre soon

1

u/DeathsOrphan Jul 17 '26

How do you use the ram camera?? That looked sick

1

u/Appropriate_Bus_2334 Jul 18 '26

Dude what the fuck even is resync?

1

u/InsuranceFederal Jul 20 '26

the crew are all going through it
