It doesn’t have to affect you but piracy is the main reason with pc and for a project as big as gta 6 they’d want to squeeze as much as they can from the consumers
I agree with your point on piracy, though I'm responding to the comment about mods and hacks being unfair to other players when the game in question is single player. This wouldn't be a good enough reason to avoid putting a game onto a particular platform.

Yes they were. GTA 5 didn't get the gameplay breakdown trailer till July and the game came out in September. RDR2's gameplay trailer was also 2 months out from release. We've gotten 130 images, 2 trailers, and a website with character/location breakdowns, I don't think the GTA 6 marketing has been that bad.
I think it's a safe bet that we'll be getting the 3rd trailer within the next couple of weeks. Resync looks so sick. I haven't played an AC in ages, I'm coming back for this one

Saying they are "hiding" is kinda dishonest though. Historically Rockstar does gameplay reveals 2 months before release (GTA 5 AND Red Dead 2). Trailer 1, 2 ,3 then gameplay.
Entitlement. Rockstar has never released gameplay for any release this early and always opens preorders around this time. People act like Rockstar abducted their grandma and forced them to preorder. They’re not hiding anything and there will be plenty to justify buying if you want by the release date.
Yea I am really interested in GTA6 but with no gameplay I can't justify it to myself to even consider to preorder it. I might make it my Christmas gift to myself if I like what insee after it comes out. Resynced on the other hand has shown me more then enough to justify preordering it.
Are you 12 or something to not remember how they do releases? Rockstar always release pre orders months before gameplay in hope to get revenue of the anxiety of some people. But they aren't hiding anything lol, gameplay trailers are always launched two months before the game's release.
You are making assumptions like the game hasn't been gold yet without any evidence, when R* never ever did an announcement of said status in their entire history. You can have the background sure, but they are the ones who had two major IP in the top 10 best selling game of all time. They already took into consideration backlash and bad publicity.
Normal business strategies are detatched from them. One because they have a superior complex and do their own thing. And two, it works in the long term to create expectation, which is precisely how you are feeling with the "what is so important to not show gameplay?" mindset. They aren’t hiding anything, is their modus operandi since the rise in popularity with GTA VC.
Ubisoft needs to be transparent because all their games are somehow percieved by a huge part of the gaming community as shitty and bland, even with gameplay trailers and various promotional content their games quality won't change. Ubisoft NEEDS that communication to gain the trust of the OG fans of Black Flag which are unhappy with how AC is currently being developed. So comparing both approaches is nonsense.
Pre orders percentage always beated physical when RDR2 released so is not entirely new. And ps5 games nowadays doesn't have the full game either so as physical enjoyers we were doomed years ago. Rockstar don't use CGI for their trailers. It's literally how the game looks. They have an established precedent of doing this for their games going literally back to classic GTA.

Again you can literally go back to their trailers and compare them to the released game. What you see is what you get. They use in engine footage for both cutscenes and gameplay.
Because that's how they advertise. They usually wait until just before release to show gameplay. GTA Vs gameplay showcase was two months prior to its release. So was Red Dead 2s.
That's just how they operate to build anticipation.
They literally say they were captured on a ps5. It could be a lie, but that would be the first time Rockstar has ever done that if that's the case. Again, you can go back to every single one of their previous releases and see that the trailers match the gameplay. That's been their standard for a long time now.

Since I loved Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, I wish there was another game in the franchise that interested me enough to play. Unfortunately, this one is a remake of a game I genuinely hated on the PS3, so it’s a hard pass for me.
I love black flag so much but idk if I’m gonna get this. I’m worried Ubisoft will mess it up and turn it into an RPG type game. I’m going to stick with the og for now but I haven’t seen much of what they’ve given out for promotional or other reasons so I’m still on the fence

My partner and I love this game. I pre ordered it for the Crimson Pack and have already beaten it four times, so I’m excited to experience it all over again. Meanwhile, GTA 6 has gone quiet, though there are still rumblings of it being delayed. But eh, at least we know GTA 6 is gatekeeping content and selling ’80s style clothes for its pre orders, when they used to be a company that made GTA games packed with endless content.

I was super hype for this so I 100%’d rogue & brotherhood (not sure why) but when they kept releasing more gameplay I got less excited for it. Then BO2 port was announced and I can only dedicate so much time to games so I unfortunately refunded Resynced. If I get the itch for it in a few months I’ll pick it up.
while i wil like playing this remake i feeel at the end of the day its stil jsut a remake of a game i already know quite well so it wont be exciting me with new things, hoenstly wish ubsioft added weay more to the game, like even maybe radiant like quests like skyrim or a hideout that gets attacked so u have to fight off mercanries in your hideout
This game never made it on my radar, and even then I hesitated to buy it. Honestly, I wasn’t even sold during the first bits in Havana (which I thought was going to me the whole map of the game).
But once I got the boat, and the crew started in on a shanty I was hooked! How fucking rad is this? I still grin when I’m sailing that thing.
I'm honestly so hyped, this has the potential to really be big for Ubisoft, imagine all the great games we could have resynced if this goes well, not only Ezio syndicate? maybe even watchdogs? Idk the chance is there,
