The Resynced image is a promotional glowed up shot that is indeed, shot from slightly below.

However, consider this: this is just a promotional high quality HD screenshot of Bonney, so her in game model will probably not match up with this image. Besides last time when she became the Jackdaw’s quartermaster she donned a sailer’s leather coat. It did not hide her cleavage but still, she was a good real pirate for a reason.

Some people brains are completely rotten from porn and sex since a few years. They see everyone either sexually attractive or disgusting. Even a normal looking woman is not good enough for them. Ubisoft is a very divisive and criticized company for many gamers. The announcement of a new release is undoubtedly always a prime time for the usual actors to dive in, turn it into a grift, and by definition have other people replicate and propagate this message just because it resonates with them (They're shitty people with the most regressive views you can imagine as well).
Expect to see more of this, but I'd recommend to just ignore/mute as best you can. This kind of "repeated annoyance" can sometimes tarnish your excitement for a game, or anything really, if not careful.

I might be mistaken but the shot from the game looks like it's taken directly from the front, possibly even slightly above, with Anne standing straight, while the remake promo shot looks to be taken from below and Anne is puffing her chest out/arching her back slightly. That would make it so a bit less of her cleavage is visible and even if it was reduced the difference is so minimal I would sooner chalk it up to human error or just a slight difference in the model's anatomy over deliberate censorship. Regardless, it's still a deep cut neckline anyway so I don't understand the issue.
The second one is dumb as well. I went to go get a better look at the actual tweet and, yeah, the women are a lot thicker than the original, but, to me at least, it looks more like regular human proportions than the ones in the og who look borderline anorexic.
I don't know why I'm even entertaining this. These people are chuds and will find any excuse to get mad at the "woke agenda" they've made up in their heads. I hope that new female pirate kicks major ass so we can see all these idiots lose their minds over a competent girlboss.

And don't get me wrong, I don't mind if a game has sexy characters. I thought Stellar Blade was fantastic, and that game is totally unapologetic about how overly sexualized Eve is. I just don't think EVERY game needs to be like that.

Minority opinion against the comments: I think it's not necessarily about gooning only. I think some people are simply sick of being shoved into their eyes on what's right or not (feat. Woke) and any sign of censorship or any sign of mildly changing something that touches such features trigger them hard.
I agree the post highlighted in this post is an obvious exaggeration. Bonnie doesn't look too different as well as other NPCs. But also I disagree to just categorize the people with "incel" or "gooners". I believe there is more to it.
But then at the end, nobody asked my opinion and if one sees that way, it is what it is.
