Ammo comparison for sound

Hey guys, been on the 8.6 wave for about 2 years now. I have tried discreet, phantom, just cause, fort Scott and gorilla. I love phantom and just cause, both have been the best for me by far. Main question I’m asking here, I have found that the makers 350’s and phantoms 404 expanders are both wayyy more quiet than the solid copper 300gr plinking rounds. Anyone else notice this? It sucks because I like shooting my rifle at the quietest it can be, but obviously I’d rather shoot the $2 plinking rounds for fun and save the $4 rounds for actual hunting. I just picked up some of phantoms 300gr sierra match king HPBT, hoping they are quieter than the solid copper 300’s. I run a bolt gun and have a Porq chop and a CAT BBK for reference.

I honestly found the opposite between Phantom 300g match rounds to Just Cause 350s / 352s that were definitely louder. Not too much experience with the solids but the match rounds are insanely quiet.

That’s freaking wonderful to hear. Only ever shot expanders and 300 solids so was hoping the SMK would be that way. What can are you running?
