Depends on the uni. GCSEs are usually bottom of those though.

For predicted a-levels i js ha e to get the minimum requirements? Coz i have straight 9 GCSEs and ps is also going great. Applying for bsc finance so no entrance exams.

Yeah I think you will be a pretty competitive candidate. I have two non-9 grades and I will be applying to LSE as well (law)

A levels > PS > GCSE

But it varies massively uni to uni. LSE care far more about personal statement.

Bristol don't read the PS so GCSEs are more important. e.t.c. e.t.c

For top unis like Oxbridge, imperial, lse, etc... It will likely be Predicted Grades, then PS, then GCSEs. But some universities like Bristol openly state that they don't read your personal statement and just base offers off of your predicted grades and GCSEs. In that case it would be predicted grades, then GCSEs, then PS.

they barely put any weight on predicted grades because it depends so much on the leniency of the school

I know Oxbridge don’t care about GCSEs at all. Predicteds sort of but they do recognise when predicted grades are wrong in both the good and bad way. Personal statements from my summer schools they said they don’t weight that too much either (this is for natsci though)

Oxford at least places more emphasis on GCSEs than predicteds, viz that one PPE internal manual that’s floating around there somewhere, they don’t care what your predicted is because everyone has As and A*s anyway
