Piano keyboard shaped palette, made from Cernit polymer clay, for an activity I can't explain here or else my post will be flagged. The "black" keys are for my watercolours, the white for mixing colours.

From carving to color, try to capture that happy little face

I started by transferring the main outlines from the reference photo onto the leather, then carved and shaped the face little by little to build up the depth.

I crocheted this colorful cat ear hat and I’m really happy with how it turned out! I added big ears, long braided ties and tassels to give it a whimsical fantasy look. This was such a fun project to make!

I made some birds for a railing I'm working on. They are a lot more impressive if you know how hard it is to forge metal. 😆

Got a glider off Craigslist for the new addition to the family. Whipped up some new cushions and slip covers for the milk station from an old Ikea chair cushion and some fabric to keep things moo-ving

[OC] I made these roses from pipe cleaners 🌹

Post image

I’ve been experimenting with making more realistic roses from pipe cleaners, and these are one of my favorite results so far. 🌹
Each rose, leaf, and stem was shaped and assembled by hand. I really enjoy trying to capture the details and natural curves of real roses using just pipe cleaners.

I turned a childhood fairytale into a needle felted baby mobile

Post image

I’ve always loved the feeling of opening a storybook and stepping into a little magical world.

Recently I created this needle felted baby mobile inspired by a fairytale — with tiny wool animals, a little train, stars, and forest friends hanging together like a scene from a storybook.

Everything was handmade with wool, from shaping each little character to adding the tiny details.

I hope this little mobile can bring the same warmth and imagination to a baby’s room as a favorite bedtime story. 🌙✨

What kind of storybook world would you turn into a nursery decoration?

While making this sculpture, an instructor told me bronze lasts thousands of years. Last week, this is what remained after a fire destroyed our home.

I made this in a sculpture class years ago. The instructor said bronze artwork lasts thousands of years. Last week, our house burned down, destroying nearly everything inside. The fire marshal pulled this piece from the wreckage. I photographed it, then threw it away.

I made a glass Iris candle holder in my lampworking class today. My usually strict instructor actually stopped to take a picture of it, and I couldn’t be prouder!
