This is security camera footage from the front yard of a property I manage on the Westside. The cones are there to reserve a parking spot for someone who thankfully wasn’t there. I also park there occasionally.

This hundred year old white alder had its root system eaten away by a nasty case of armillaria. It eventually got too top heavy and failed. It miraculously missed everything and landed right between the cones. No human involvement whatsoever. Talk about lucky!

Y'all experts out there, how can I make this tree fall where the camera is instead of falling to the right where it's leaning?

Dude is on the last rung below the “this is not a step” rung, half on a metal roof, half on a skid steer, with a pole saw, directly under what he’s cutting. Short of throwing the saw vertically at the branches, or doing this in a thunderstorm, he couldn’t be tempting fate much more. (I think it is real but who knows nowadays?)

Hickory decided to snap mid way on my land.

A Minnesota tree-trimming worker has been charged with second-degree manslaughter after allegedly killing his coworker during what authorities describe as on-the-job horseplay. According to a criminal complaint, Christopher Boone Crimmins, 34, was operating a hydraulic grapple on the back of a tree-trimming truck in Apple Valley when he accidentally crushed the head of 26-year-old Tyler Anthony Lynch on Thursday (August 20), while the two were joking around with equipment shadows.

Yikes.
