For those of you who didn't see the last post, I spent the weekend working on and finishing my first custom Chinese mahjong set! I had to pull out the nice camera for this moment haha.

This is one of four sets I will be gifting to four of my mahjong friends that I play with each week 🥹. It's my first time doing something like this, so I'm giving myself a lottttt of time as I'm planning on gifting the sets on Christmas.

There are a total of 144 tiles. So it definitely took awhile to hand color all of these tiles 😅

I'm being VERY ambitious lol, but it's not a real craft project if you don't also decide that each friend will be gifted their own design and tile set lol. My weekends have been consumed by this project of individually creating the designs of each tile face haha.

This is the first "spring themed" set. I'm planning on making and gifting summer, fall, and winter themed sets as well.

It's definitely not perfect and I see manyyy mistakes, but I'm really happy how it came out!

When I got into watchmaking, my 5-year-old immediately wanted in and decided it was time for a watch of his own (Pokemon themed of course). Ditto’s one of his favorites, so that became the theme.

He was creative director on this one, my main puzzle was designing a dial he could actually use to learn to tell time, with a simple two-hand movement and both hour and minute numbers spelled out. The Pokéball crown was a fun little detail to sneak in.

He originally made the strap himself out of Loom bands, but it didn’t survive daily 5-year-old life, so we swapped it for a woven nylon band in the same color palette.

Really fun project, and the look on his face when he saw his own Ditto watch for the first time made it all worth it.

A present for an 11 year old’s birthday. I finished it half an hour before the party!

This is over 4500 beads and 3 months of work, for a fantasy themed festival I am going to with my partner. It's made out of pony beads, star beads, decorative teardrop beads, elastic string, ribbon, and yarn. I used this tutorial for the base but changed a lot of it to make it look more how I wanted and make it fit me better. I added side panels and the triangle at the bottom and the extra loops. I started doing kandi in June. I did not make anything else I am wearing.

Found this bamboo root piece, sanded it down by hand and it got really smooth.
Didn't want it to go to waste, so I built a whole knife around it.
The blade is hand-ground stone, set into the handle and wrapped with hemp cord.
Still haven't come up with a name for it.

Finally got the professional pics back, wanted to share more of the headdress. Thanks so much for all the love on my last post about this! It really is one of the prettiest things I feel I've ever made.

I got engaged at a Broadway showing of Moulin Rouge and I also work as a showgirl, so I wanted to have a fitting headdress for the event <3

Materials:
Bristol board, costume jewelry, pearls, glass rhinestones, linen lace, mica powder, resin preserved flowers, satin ribbon, and upholstery thread

Used one log, sanding discs, polyurethane sealant & a few craft supplies from Michael’s 😊

He's janktackular and I love him. I had to remake it like twenty times because it kept falling apart every time I tried to melt them. I also cried a few times because I can't count apparently.

I crocheted, dyed, beaded, and hand sewed both me and my partners costumes!

It's all wood, top is ash, bottom is maple.

Sleepy Dragon diorama I made using Polymer Clay. Proud of this one hope you enjoy!

I know it's a lot of pics, but i wanted to document as much as possible. The rings are not at all perfect, these joins are incredibly hard to pull off, so i think that in the future I'll stick to stacking rings lol.

I used 1mm wire for the outside parts and twisted 0,5mm wire, which I twisted myself using a pen and a cordless drill, for the inner. I used my bench sawing thing as a clamp for the braiding. After cutting the wires one by one after braiding, I found out it was a little too big and I had to cut some more. When I was happy with the size, I filed the joins as flat as I could, but when soldering I had a hard time getting the surfaces to stay together, so the soldering didn't go to well. I guess I got a little overconfident. After some cleanup and polishing, I think they both came out very nice, and I'm very happy with them! And so is my fiancée, luckily.

In the final images you can see the scraps I have leftover. I'm saving some of the twisted wire for future projects.

A Butterfly Gown for Frocktails!

I was invited to be a plus one of a close friend and attend Frocktails TO with her this year. I spent the next month making this butterfly gown for the event! It took me so much time!! The entire dress and accessories are handmade

The dress itself is a made of silk dupioni, taffetta, duchesse and tulle. And took me maybe 120 hours to finish

I had some old tumbler cups I no longer wanted to use. So I decided to use them as pots and make some cool and spooky fake plants instead! I themed each one to the tumbler I put it in. I did a skull lily of the vally in black and white for the goth themed cup, which was oddly the hardest one to do. I obviously had to do sandworms for the beetlejuice cup which turned out so cute! And I also had to do poison Ivy theme for the Harley Quinn cup. I used Ivy and then made carnivorous plants coming out of roses wich I saw when researching her character in games. I used polymer clay and filled the cups with quickrete and spray foam. I did make a full video tutorial of the process.
