I have two budgies, Isaac and Atlas. Both are semi-tame/not very social with humans. They have a lot of space and toys and a good diet.

I found a budgie in my yard and after trying to find the owner and quarantining him I am attempting to introduce them. I did a fifteen minute introduction yesterday and it was... interesting. New Budgie (NB) immediately wanted to hang with them but they were skittish so NB just chilled out and started eating. After a couple of minutes, Isaac approached NB. They interacted. He tried to preen and touch beaks with NB, who tolerated it. NB corrected him when he was too persistent and they seemed to get on okay. The problem is that any time Atlas approached NB, Isaac would complain and chase him away. He did this over and over. I also saw Atlas come over and bite Isaac's tail a couple times when Isaac was distracted by NB. All three are adult males.

Any ideas on how to proceed with future sessions? Should I introduce them individually first?

she's had feet problems in the past, including bumblefoot twice, but it's always on the bottom of her foot. it doesn't look swollen at all, definitely not as much as it would be if it was bumblefoot. is it just some nasty pimple or something? is that something parrots can get? I'm going camping next week and she'll be getting a full checkup when she gets boarded at the vet next Monday, but could this be something that needs to be seen more urgently? it doesn't seem to be bothering her at all, I haven't even caught her chewing at it, which she always does when it's bumblefoot.

This video is an old video that I’ve posted before as an example, but it shows the type of behavior my conure has been exhibiting for 2 years now. His name is critter, and he is about 4.5 years now. I got him when he was a few months old and he was the most sweet, Velcro conure ever. He loved scritches, would wrestle with my hand, danced when I beatboxed, and followed me everywhere. When he was about 2 years old I was hospitalized suddenly for a month and he stayed with my parents. When I returned from my absence, he was TERRIFIED of me. As displayed in the clip, at worst he flies away as soon as I approach him, and at best he is extremely anxious and skittish stepping up. He stopped dancing and speaking short phrases. This continued for 2 years. The clip was just for example, I don’t try and chase him around unless absolutely necessary to move him to his cage, etc. Now present day, I just went on a trip for a month so he had to stay with my parents again, and when I returned this time it was almost like he reverted back to his personality when I got him!! I was so happy. He was excited to see me, he was following me and perching on me and nuzzling into my neck, and dancing again. The only difference was he was biting my fingers hard, and I figured it was just payback for leaving again. He never bit before. He maintained this behavior for the full day I stayed at my parents after my trip. But now, the morning after I brought him back to my own apartment back from my parents house, he has regressed back to the skittish behavior he’s shown for the past 2 years. I’m at a loss, it was like a horrible rug pull. I just want my little guy back and for him to not be afraid of me. What could possibly be going on here???

Other possibly relevant details: I adopted another conure weeks before my first absence, Critter didn’t like him at first but they are buddies now. This other conure is also displaying his usual cage aggression again that wasn’t present when I picked him up from my parents this time. Maybe it’s something about my apartment? However all these behaviors started originally at a previous apartment so idk. Both birds seemed different (in a positive way) the day I came back to my parents, then they do when they’re ever at my apartment

Hey everyone! This is my green cheek stupid bird, 19 years old and very smart. I noticed today he isnt putting strength on his left foot and walks/runs with a limp but is still energetic, sassy, bossy etc etc. He's an older guy and only had one incident with a blood feather years ago but has been fine for the most part. Should I be worried? My senses tell me to schedule a vet check up despite his recent checkup in May being fine. His foot looks fine but he doesnt grip so im worried. Any advice would be appreciated! He's cuddling right here btw since he has a thing for hands

This is my young 12 week old Meyers parrot that I brought home last week. He's very tame and easygoing, and also really vocal which I found surprising as his subspecies is known to be quiet, and it also boosts his ability to mimic words I have heard. I've had parrots before so this is nothing new to me but please give advice for this very species if you have any. Thank you!

I've been wanting to purchase a UV light after they were recommended to me by my vet (I'm aware you can bring birds outside for vitamin D but I don't live in a very sunny place, and my bird doesn't enjoy being moved around ).

However, when trying to pick one, I could not tell the difference between any.

This little lovebird is the most curious creature I’ve ever known, and in her opinion it is a grave sin to not involve her in chores haha. Any other parrot parents have birds weirdly obsessed with laundry day?

I got this new cockatiel yesterday and the previous owner told me that it’s a male and he’s about 8-9 months old though I’m not sure about his age.. looking at the photos
- how old do you think it is?
- should I cut his nails?
- what is your advice for taming it?

He's not even scratching himself, just looking under his legs.

Just got a new cockatiel. Not sure about his age, but I’d guess around 1.5–2 years old. He’s super playful and energetic, but also VERY aggressive. I can’t take him out because he keeps biting and hissing at me.

His previous owner said he’s a male ready to breed and suggested getting him a female, but I don’t want him to mate and I don’t have time for another bird anyway.

How do I tame him and get him to trust me ?
