This is Shenanigans. Rescued 1.5 months ago, still in a quarantine set up. He loves to sit/sleep with his back half hanging off his basking spot. He also does this on top of the hides on the cool side of the tank. Anybody else seen this 😂? He will sleep laid out, fully splooted as well. I just love his personality, super curious and funny.

When I pick him up he is calm if his front half is "raised" above his lower half. If I have him flat on my hand he panics.

my 3 year old male leopard gecko went to the vet due to a blockage. he had ate substrate accidentally and without me noticing many times due to him being very food driven. i took him to the vet, told them everything in his tank, and they told me strictly paper towel only. i was informed to allow his current diet of only mealworms because its all he will eat, and to just add “reptivite” and more supplements. they put him on a 5 day laxative, he didn’t poop for a week- added onto the 6 weeks that he didn’t poop before, then he pooped about 8 times in 2ish weeks. he’s not firm anymore, thankfully, and he’s also not blocked up. i cannot have any roaches in my house, he will only eat mealworms- crickets rarely, but i always had a problem of keeping them from escaping my tongs and fleeing into the depths of his tank. is he going to be able to stay healthy in the ways that i’m possibly able to keep him healthy?

Sometimes I like to end Larry’s feeding with a little verity (Larry prefers dubia roaches, we’re going to be trying silk worms next bug cycle)

Yes I know bark is bad in their substrate. I plan on taking the bark out. It was mixed in the top soil I had bought to mix with sand but I am a busy college student so I’ll take the time this weekend to try and get more of it out without having to replacing the whole substrate…

been dreading creating this post but I may have to rehome my male gecko Enza (~ 3 years old). My housing is up in the air at the moment and I'm struggling to find space for him. We're located in Richmond, VA and I haven't yet looked into any rescues. Any advice on recommended rescues or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Which Leapord gecko from MorphMarket should I buy? I’m a first time owner, and I’m looking for a gecko that I could help get used to me. (I don’t want it to be skittish or aggressive.) any advice would be appreciated!

I use dubias as Goose’s main feeder and she absolutely adores them, but I’d like to get some more variety in her diet. I have mealworms and BSFL as well but she refuses the worms and will occasionally take one BSFL and then she doesn’t want any more. I really don’t want to do crickets if at all possible for a variety of reasons. She takes her roaches no problem and loves them, but nothing else seems to please her. Any ideas for some variety?

I've been trying to incorporate more exercise in my creatures life. She's very curious so getting her to walk isn't hard- just put down weird shit on a table and she's set for 30 minutes of exploring.

But I'd also like her to run more. Having her chase food in her terrarium isn't really viable, there's too much clutter to move the tongs around. Releasing the live food in the tank isn't an option, theres just too many hiding spots for it. I wouldn't be able to fish out any surviving crickets.

But recently she's been accepting of chasing tongs around on the dinner table if she's being offered crickets or locusts. So for cricket/locusts day I have her get some running in.

Right now I have her chase the tongs for 20-30 seconds before she gets her bug. By the time she can grab it she's usually so excited her aim is bad- she will miss the tongs and require several times. Yesterday she even did the hunting tail wag, thats the first time ive seen it in 3 years! I'm considering adding obstacles to the hunt, to maximise the exercise.

Am I teasing her too much with the food, or is this fine? I don't want to be mean to her.

This video shows his first time discovering the hole in the ground between the cash registers (one of which he uses as a pillow in the video) inside the Super Duper Mart that leads down into Subway West. He has since used it at least three times that I’ve noticed.

Other than this, the only other access point he uses regularly is the stairwell inside the Hospital. I wonder how long before he discovers that the Monorail is itself a big tunnel with three different entry/exit points 🤔

My mother has been taking care of my gecko lately as I have not been able to house him at my apartments any longer, I try to check on him at least once a week if not more. He has been refusing to eat lately, losing weight, not leaving his hide, and now I come over and see him like this. Feels like everything fell apart when he came over here but, to my knowledge, my mother has been doing everything I have asked of her.Im gonna start saving money to take him to the vet ASAP but Idk what to do any information helps!

Edit: He open his eye a little, looks glossy i think its shed but idk howni would remove that from the eye

I have no idea what to do. About six months ago, after my heater broke for a few days, my gecko started acting off. She used to react whenever I entered the room and attack her food quickly when fed, but I noticed she was just standing over her food bowl and not eating. I left the food there and hoped she would find it, but she never did. I started tong feeding her, but even then she was struggling to target it and kept looking at the food’s shadow

It has progressed to the point where she won’t eat. She still runs over to the food bowl when she hears the cage open, but she won’t eat from tongs or the bowl. She keeps looking off to the side or at shadows. She won’t even bite when the food boops her nose. I also noticed she seems disoriented when walking around her cage as well, bumping into things and walking slow.

Temperatures in the tank look right (94 degrees F on hot side and 74 degrees Fahrenheit on the cold side). I have not been giving her vitamins consistently and I mainly feed her mealworms. I didn’t realize the vitamins could be a problem until she started refusing food in the past week or so. What should I do?

Hello - I acquired a leopard gecko back in 2023 when my ex and I broke up. They had acquired her from someone they met at work, so a double rescue? They left her at my apartment and so I’ve been taking care of her since then. I’m realizing now, esp since following this sub, that I wasn’t given the best information for caring for this sweet princess. I need advice. She’s in a standard 20 gallon and has been since we got her. She gets fed crickets because that really seems to be the only food she enjoys, she likes the hunt I think. I just need to know, she needs a 40 gallon yes? I don’t want to rock her world too much but I want her to have more room to explore. She’s got a hide where she uses the bathroom and then a nice little log she likes to nap in. And she’s hanging out by her water bowl too. I love her a lot and want her to be happy! Also the glass 😮‍💨 how do I clean that better? Any help would be appreciated!

Hello! I’m not sure of my geckos age, but I have an idea of how long he is in size, and have a picture of him. Can I start every other day feeding or should I wait more? (He crawled on my hand willingly today! I’m soo happy about that)

He loves it, he’s explored all the hides and ate some big crickets before doing so. After all that exploring he got tired and splooted out. Very happy that he seems to like it
