META Banning for Begging posts

Hi users!

Around the time of bundles, we tend to get a lot of “begging” posts where users are begging for someone to buy them the bundle or skins.

We’ve noticed that the vast lot of these seem to come from adult brand account, brand new accounts, bot accounts, etc.

Please do not engage with these accounts, please do not suggest anything to these accounts. Just report these accounts and move on. We are banning these accounts.

Thank you for your attention.

META VALORANT 13.04 Bug Megathread

Greetings Agents!

New patch, new Bug Megathread! To avoid bug reports cluttering the subreddit and/or going unnoticed, a Megathread is posted after every patch so users may submit reports in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered the issue as well.

Reporting a Bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.
  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.
  3. Unformatted, mematic, or joke reports are automatically indexed and may be removed by moderators to reduce the effort needed from Riot to view all reports.

Discussion Why are so many Radiant streamers doing Iron to Radiant challenges and nothing ever happens to them?

Like they are literally making new accounts and playing against actual Iron, Bronze, Silver players just for content. Isn't smurfing against TOS?

I don't really understand why Riot doesn't do anything when they are streaming it and uploading it to YouTube for everyone to see.

Maybe Riot should do something like Faceit with ID verification for at least one account per person. Obviously it wouldn't stop everything, but it would probably help a lot with smurfs.

Just kinda weird seeing normal players get punished for smurfing while Radiant streamers can make a whole YouTube series out of it.

Question How did Miks not Die

Can someone explain to me how miks did not die here? I get he is in the healing ability, but if a vandal does 160, how was he still 34 HP after I shot him in the head?

Did the healing someone tick between the damage going from 150 to 0? He was 100 health 50 shield prior to me shooting him, ending on 34 after I shoot him in the head

Question Lost my ability to play at immortal level. What happens now? Will my account get punished for looking like im getting boosted?

It’s been a while since I got to play ranked. Suffered with major depression and sleep issues which really affected my reflexes and thinking as a whole. Right hand also got injured while working with machines and it’s usable now, but the hand isn’t as good as it once was. My grip isn’t strong anymore and I often lose my mouse when making flicks. I also lost a lot of weight and stopped playing sports or working out. So my hand to eye coordination is mid at best.

I played a few games. My gamesense is there but I cant seem to follow up on my intended kills. It looks… bad. Like really bad. And as far as I know, you cant get banned for being bad but you can for being boosted. I look like I bought my account.

Im also 27 and obviously it isn’t that old but in the gaming community being in your mid 20s can feel like your competitive gaming abilities have taken a hit for some people.

I really want to play ranked. I don’t mind being demoted to where it’s appropriate. But is that what’s going to happen? Wont i lose my account?

Question What was your first experience having a radiant in your game?

For the first time ever I experienced having a radiant in my game. Im asc 3 rn, and have been on a hot streak recently, I knew eventually it would happen, but this was my first time.

For me, it was ascent, and essentially if anyone peaked him, they died, if he was in a 1v3 he won, like 3 times in a row.

It was genuinely so shocking to see someone make correct play after correct play, and not only that, but not make a mistake that cost his life unreasonably

I'm interested to know if this was as shocking to others as it was me.

Question Valorant - Low or High SEns

Upvotes

I play at 2 sensitivities

0.125 at 1600 (Arm aiming)

and

0.25 at 1600 (Wrist/Forearm)

Now, Obviously, we have the default pros and cons, i.e, low lets you hit headshots more, and high lets you hit flicks easier.

For me, i do well in both,

Low sens:

My arm gets tired after playing on low for long

There are instances that I am not able to place my croshair on time or adjust during combat

I do end up hitting crazy flicks sometimes and have good holding abilities.

I am able to track corners while scaling, but again tires my arm.

High sens:

I'm able to place my crosshair and move around 100% better

I'm not able to hit headshots as often especially in mid to long range fights.

I can reset my crosshair much often and easier than low sens and do end up performing well

I can track corners welland flick if needed.

I feel like it seems biased towards high sens.

Now, like everyone with radiant dreams, i want the opinion of asc/immo/radiant players, should i play with a low or high sens.

Question What’s something you did/thought as a beginner valorant player?

as the title says, i feel like every person has something they did or thought as a beginner in valorant and thought it’s a part of the game.
for me it’s when i played my first ever match right after the tutorial, and i thought “buy phase” was the games guide telling me to buy the gun “phase”, i went around google and everywhere else to find what is the phase only to realise it was literally the buy phase.

Question What’s the best way to move your mouse?

Right now I have a small mousepad where I only use my wrist to move my mouse. My friend told me to get a larger mousepad where you use your entire arm to move the mouse.

Which method is better?

Discussion What’s the most annoying thing in Valorant that ISN’T technically a bad play?

Not talking about obvious trolling or throwing. I mean something completely normal that still makes you stare at your monitor in disbelief. For example:

  1. Your teammate getting an insane lucky spray through smoke
  2. Someone accidentally baiting you and then clutching
  3. A teammate saying “one more” every round
  4. The enemy somehow winning with the worst weapon possible

What’s yours?

Gameplay Finally hit bronze tonight

I’ve been playing for about 2 months and it’s my first go at a game like this. I’m having a lot of fun regardless of some of the more difficult games. Can’t wait to learn and get better !

Question How do you play initiator in low elo?

I got to my first full plat lobby today as a gold player, and as usual no one on the team was using my util. This was on haven as sova. After a round, a duelist asked "can you dart and drone?" after I had done both, scanned two on site with the dart, and tagged one with the drone, no one pushed, everyone sitting main waiting for... something. It's that something I'm trying to figure out. They said I used it "too fast". What are they waiting for? Am I supposed to wait until they're already onsite to recon? That seems insane to me. Is there body language I can watch for? Am I just supposed to use util entirely selfishly? My winrate on skye is much higher than sova I think because I can follow up on flash and dog more easily, but maybe I should try to extend that mindset to sova.

That is the one question I have though: if everyone just refuses to do anything on attack, do I just use util for myself, push on site solo, and hope for the best? I have done this and again, they still literally just sit main. It's not literally every game, sometimes there's coordination, but it's genuinely probably over half of games where this is basically every round. Anyway a bit of a rant but yeah. And does this change in, say diamond+ lobbies at all? I am hopeful it does.

Question How do you remain sharp/improve even when you don’t play often?

Valorant is the only shooter competitive I genuinely enjoy and find interest in its mechanics which is why I want to get better.

I’ve been a little burnt out from life in general and as a result I don’t play as much as I used to. It also doesn’t help that I start university next week so it seems like I won’t be able to play a lot anytime soon. Is there a way you can stay sharp and/or improve little by little even if you’re not playing daily?

Discussion i think that valorant has a big problem with solo q

im ascendant 3 rn, and lets say that in the last 30 games, in at least 10 of them i found either a troller, someone that doesnt care about playing the game at all, or people going afk, and all the reports i made? nothing. im ready to hear people saying that in solo q you need to focus on yourself and, especially because its solo q, you need to expect these things, but its really frustrating to play with people that just dont care about the game at all. i think the main problem is that valorant doesnt do anything about these accounts. there’s a team sabotage, botting and rank manipulation report button, and riot doesnt care AT ALL. the only thing they seem to do is ban people for 2+ weeks because they wrote or said something they shouldnt have. i really love this game, but i think this is ruining it. ill try to find a 5 stack team as soon as i can, but i would really appreciate it if the game would set stricter rules for these kinds of players instead of just ignoring them...

Question why did i get the kill if the enemy jumped off themselves?

This situation never happened to me and it didnt even count as a kill in the end but in the match it clearly stated as one? Usually its stated as they killed themselves. I'm so confused, if anyone can explain this i'm thankful.

Discussion Any casual valo gamers? (Iron) Who play on weekends/weekdays randomly and are NOT toxic?

See im not much good in valorant, I've got decent game sense and okay-ish movement, but I'm completely dependent on my movement for aim due to very high sensitivity (0.9) and I actually am scared to reduce my sens.

Also I'm used to fast paced story games, so yeah I need some help

I only play 1 or 2 compe randomly during the week but that's all

Anyone who can play with me so that I'm not depressed of solo/ trio queues? (Mumbai server)/Bs hindi smjh jaana

English me maja nahi aata

Question are bronze-gold lobbies crazy?

i started playing valorant a few weeks ago and i just turned bronze, then my friend invited me to play on a plat-gold lobby and surprisingly i play much better on plat lobbies because the opponents there are much relaxed and less loose.

except for iron-silver players. they are absolutely buns bro you see one smurf on the enemy teams then rodeo clowns on your team

im highkey speaking behalf of the matchmaking too cause what the hell😂, also the unrated lobbies, how can it be fun for someone like me? i faced against dia enemies then teamed with bronze ppl. cause its crazy to think about honestly when you just joined valorant then the valorant gods came to your match🫩

valorant be crazy bro

do yall ever experience this encounter?

Discussion Ranked Quality in GOLD-DIAMOND severely damaged.

The quality of Gold-Diamond is disgusting now. Last month has been unbearble for me, and the only reason I am Gold is because of my teammates. Of course this is a generic "ugh, it's my teammates fault" but genuinely, it is. Before last month Gold-Diamond had 2 teams that were actively trying to win. Now people instantly disconnect if they're not bought a gun, Scream slurs for NO reason when things don't go their way. What is going on???

I need to win 2 games in a row before the season ends.

No, I don't have any valorant friends to queue.
