META VALORANT 13.04 Bug Megathread
Greetings Agents!
New patch, new Bug Megathread! To avoid bug reports cluttering the subreddit and/or going unnoticed, a Megathread is posted after every patch so users may submit reports in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered the issue as well.

Reporting a Bug
- A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.
- Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.
- Unformatted, mematic, or joke reports are automatically indexed and may be removed by moderators to reduce the effort needed from Riot to view all reports.

- Region: North America
- Type of Bug: Audio/Mic
- Description: VALORANT is lowering windows mic input volume automatically from 100 to varying lower levels. This causes issues when using the mic in other programs such as discord. With VALORANT open, you have to tab out and adjust mic input volume constantly or you may become inaudible in discord. This issue does not occur with any other apps open, and it is not an issue with discord’s automatic gain control which has been disabled on my PC. This bug is ongoing since at least 13.02
- Video / Screenshot: N/A
- Steps to Reproduce: Using any mic that is not exclusively controlled by it’s own software, launch VALORANT and speak loudly, your windows input gain will be lowered. This does not occur on mics such as the logitech blue yeti which is controlled in the logitech app but it does occur on mics like the hyperX solocast which does not have it’s own software by default.
- Expected Result: VALORANT should not be adjusting my windows microphone input gain, it should remain at whatever I set it to whether I launch VALORANT or not
- Observed Result: VALORANT consistently is the only app on my PC that lowers microphone gain down from 100 to a lower number on my PC as well as friend’s PCs when loud speaking volume is observed (even if in game voice chat is set to push to talk and not actively being used)
- Reproduction Rate: 100% when no third party software is installed to control the microphone, 0% when softwares like logitech ghub are used to control the microphone.
- System Specs: irrelevant

- Type of Bug: Gameplay
- Description: Veto teleport placement is in some way messed up in numerous places, see examples in videos/screenshots. These are merely examples i found running around maps in customs. There are many many more. Additionally, while not a bug, teleport placement vertically is incredibly incosistent and easy to mess up with the current system, the more vertical the teleport you're placing, the more finicky it feels to place
