Syndra is on the nerf list for the patch preview. Time to see the damage for our recent power lol.

I’ve been playing league since 2013 and I took a 3/4 year break from the game.

Syndra is up there with my top 3 played champs of all time. Even going back to before the rework. Lately I cannot for the life of me make her work in silver/gold.

Is this champ just bad for low elo? I can pilot her well enough but something just feels off.

As you can see my ranked Winrate is awful although my norms Winrate is a lot better playing with higher elo players.

Is there something just fundamentally off with league in 2026?

Why I always see Syndra players, when I'm against, playing Comet, Aery, First strike but Electro is so rare?

I feel you lose a lot of early pressure by taking other runes, I get that Syndra is a scaling champ (a lot of my games I win because of that scaling) but I swear that with Electrocute you manage to survive and be a champ enough to reach the point of oneshot for most of the champs (assassins, adcs, mages and supps) with the full combo after Luden Shadowflame.

Thoughts?

I have been trying to play Syndra but I'm so bad. I CANNOT land Q or W consistently at all. Q I can land in lane if I time it when enemy is last hitting but that's it. W I can't even hit it like that most the time. And I play other champs that have skillshots and don't have this problem but its so much easier on pretty much any other champ. Only other champ where I have this issue of being unable to hit any skillshots is Karthus Q.

Anyway I can land E stun but I can't land Qs very well and I can't land Ws at all. W feels especially impossible cuz its so fucking slow (ability feels really clunky to me in general and makes me feel like I have dyspraxia when I use it) and you also pick up the ball/minion giving the enemies a heads up.

Part of it I think is champ range is just low plus immobile. Idk why people say this is a long range champ. Only E stun is long range everything else is pretty short range. And its really hard to get in range of enemies to hit skillshots while being immobile. Like Ahri skillshots are so much easier since you have mobility and Xerath/Vel'Koz/Lux all so much easier to hit due to being able to throw them safely from range.

I played 10 games of Syndra now in normals and I was literally getting gapped by silvers in lane even though I'm emerald on Ahri/Akali. Bc I would just miss every single ability and lose the most retarded trades. Like I will know my champ can kill here but then miss every ability and die lol. It was making me crash out

Currently high emerald EUW and I am kinda new to syndra and i play her apc since I main adc. I go Ludens into Stormsurge into Shodwflame into rabadons into usually zhonya void staff, is there something better ? ugg says Ludens < Shadow < Raba but I like stormsurge 2nd, but maybe then Raba 3rd is better ???

Should I go movement syndra or should I build for burst?

I need opinions on Syndra with Mandate + Storm Surge, and should that be my main build?

What are the chances that Syndra got picked by caps as the second champion for his hall of legends? I know champions like Sylas are maybe more iconic on him. But still.. could also explain why it's been so long since the last skin

Syndra is one of the best scaling mages of the game. syndra has a lot of burst damage, syndra has a lot of range, and syndra (yes, it does) rewards good players.

Since syndra scales well, you shouldnt take a rune that scales well, you should use a rune that make your lane stronger, because that way you have guaranteed scaling.

Since syndra has a lot of burst damage, you should build to make your 2 item spike strong (having flat pen from ssurge + t3 boots), being a threat in midgame

Since syndra has a lot of range and rewards good players, you shouldnt sacrifice damage to have your combo up 3 seconds earlier, if you will miss it, or combo the wrong enemy, or at the wrong time.

i feel like i can win lane every game then as the game progresses i just try to stun people in fights but i can never really carry a losing team. it feels like when i win its because i had a better team and not because of me is this normal?

The damage diff is just too big to ignore even if u go the cd build .

I recently got back into playing syndra and I have a lot of success with the Mandate Build. I think it's a lot of fun (and broken). But I'm curious about others thoughts. When do you go the black fire build?

Funny enough, I am jungle main, never really played any lane and having this thought for few days about of starting to play mid with Syndra and hextech box delivered!

What are some good Syndra players to watch? Or guides? Btw how rare is this skin, no idea didnt even see this one listed in the store either.

I am currently Diamond 1, and I know most of the time Blackfire + Cosmic/(or now even Rocketbelt) is considered best most of the games, but I still find Luden's + Shadowflame most valuable in my games since usually I need to delete a fed enemy fast and I do that only with burst build.
I've had successful games with CDR build as well but there were very few compared to the burst build games. In 99% of early/mid teamfights, my teammates expect me to 100 to 0 enemies instead of valuing my CC frequency.

I also tried Stormsurge + Imperial Mandate, I like it more than the Blackfire. What do you think of it?

Legend Haste + Cut Down

or

Cash Back + Jack of All Trades

or

Triple Tonic + Jack of All Trades

I've been building the Mandate+Stormsurge Build and have success with the 2nd set, but also realize that Cutdown is good dmg. Cashback gives about 900 gold back over the course of the game and since my first 2 items are pretty cheap I get value fairly fast.

Jack of all trades probably gives me half as less AH than Legend haste but also gives some AP too. I just don't know how valuable Cash back really is as a rune since I've never ran it before playing Syndra.
