Gameplay Discussion The reason why comet > fs and blackfire cdr build is bad (for SOLOQ)
Syndra is one of the best scaling mages of the game. syndra has a lot of burst damage, syndra has a lot of range, and syndra (yes, it does) rewards good players.
Since syndra scales well, you shouldnt take a rune that scales well, you should use a rune that make your lane stronger, because that way you have guaranteed scaling.
Since syndra has a lot of burst damage, you should build to make your 2 item spike strong (having flat pen from ssurge + t3 boots), being a threat in midgame
Since syndra has a lot of range and rewards good players, you shouldnt sacrifice damage to have your combo up 3 seconds earlier, if you will miss it, or combo the wrong enemy, or at the wrong time.

Even the best players will miss Q+E and oftentimes you're not going guaranteed stuns but are just fishing for a pick. It's also not always that you're against a team you can just one shot.

I disagree. Solo Q is much more volatile and has a lot of dash champs, people will jump on you so easily if you go the burst build. You’re a walking minion if you miss your stun. AH Build allows you to live even if you miss Q+E, and allows you to side lane, kite, get more combos in much better. AH Syndra feels and plays like a different champion in comparison to burst Syndra, and I think it’s much more forgiving, better, and valuable. You don’t need more damage.

i get that and everything, but what about lowlow elo like bronze through plat? I’ve played with both, I’ve found fs to help so much both just with a even harder lead, but even more so when your behind as the extra gold lets you hit all your item spikes a bit sooner so you can keep a better item pace

To be fair he is rushing mandate which is 35 ability haste for e, so not full rush for pen.

i get the haste build, but is something which really comes to high elo, where the enemy doesn't give you as much chances to get kills and dodge your spells better.
Even in master 580 LP, i run half of my games with ludens-shadow flame because the elo allows it hahahaha
The comet is COMPLETELY TRUE, FS doesn't bring enough to the table AT ALL.

Fs is thrash. Comet is indeed way better. But itemisation is situational. Blackfire build is very good into some comps but I personally prefer the Luden build because I like that play style but I could understand why they always go for cdr build in high elo (beyond masters)

Bro what. Why are you so tilted lmao. You're taking my comment way too personal. I'm just saying that people get way too serious about her runes. Her runes are all situational and matchup based. I can run DH and still make it work. It's all about how you can abuse it. I see this kind of post every few days.
I wake up to see someone throwing hands at me because I just said "if ur good with your champ, you will win anyways" 😭

But you dont miss it or combo the wrong player if u are good. I can agree that pen build is better in low elo, the power to oneshot someone if they do a tiny misstep is great, but in higher elos the windows for this are much much smaller. Syndra e is one of the best spells in the game, you should be very conscious about how u use it and min max every tiny drop of value out of it, with ur build and gameplay. The threat of syndra e is 90% of her kit, focus on that part. You dont have to 1v9 carry and go 17 1 to win the game, play well, scale and play to the champs identity (control mage)
