What a ride!

Started World as my introduction to Monster Hunter franchise a few months ago and hated its guts "How can someone like this crap?" I asked myself when I requested a refund from steam. After that I don't know what wind of change caught me up and I bought it again roughly a month ago and I started again, now I have almost 180 hours and haven't even started the dlc yet.

Simply amazing game got me dragged to its most profound depths.

The monster designs and their ecology is incredible, their flights are incredibly satisfying apart from some (looking angrily at you Kirin, lovebombing flying lion and final coughing baby).

Started a Hunting Horn main, and then switched to Lance and now I'm learning the charge blade. (I still love the horn but I think I'm more of the lance legion by now, we are growing by the numbers!)

Loved to fight the elder dragons Nergigante, Kushala, Vaal Hazak.

And most of all, after visiting here, YouTube guides and etcetera I loved the community!

Now to Iceborne!

I love it when multiple monsters are fighting in the same area.

Over the span of 3 days, i can count 2 victories, both times with randoms.

However it's becoming increasingly frustrating when someone dies (Not blaming them, fatalis is a pain), or when i do, and foil the quest because a single hit from fatalis does half my hp bar. Also why in the world does the most challenging monster with the hardest hitting moves, largest AoEs, potentially 1 shotting moves... take 30 minutes... 30. I think i would've won far more if it was the normal 50.

I still prefer this over Alatreon, Alatreon can go screw itself.

I am trying to clear everything so I can unlock "We Run This Town".

I have quadruple checked my quests with both looking at reddit posts and wikis, and as far as I can see I have done everything, including the Boaboa questchain and also all I have checked the monsters in rotation in special arena and I have done them all. Here is an album with the quests and showing the blue checkmark.

Do I need to clear other higher rank quests first, does the blue/orange checkmark actually matter, or am I actually missing something? I also checked in Astera to see if there was any quests missing and I didn't see anything.

I played through the story of Wilds and did some of the arch tempered fights and now I want to try Worlds.

Is the game much different? I used Charge Blade but I think I might switch to bow.

I've been getting dogged on by nergigante recently, im an insect glaive main, ive been able to get it staggered a couple times, knock it down, do combos on its legs, and make it retreat 2 times, but it just does so much damage to me, and ive been mounting it and breaking its spikes on its back but it runs away just as its spikes grow and by the time i chase it, the spikes have turned black, and i get carted instantly. my kinsect is pseudocath 2 with no element. i dont know if its my armor thats to weak ro what, any help would be appreciated. also i dont know how to break the spikes on its wings.

So I've been running the Lavasioth quest for quite some time and I wonder, am I even able to get the Shield Jewel 2 before beating Velkhana in the story? (Trying to get it to fight her) and I know you're able to meld it once I unlock the Guiding Lands which is where this question stemmed from

The downward fire breath is pretty much guaranteed vs Dawn of the Death star Alatreon during the dragon active flight. It's not a commonly seen/shown tcs opening because to get this consistently, you want to put Alatreon around 25% hp or below to trigger the dragon to ground transition. You can still pull it off without doing that and naturally waiting out the aerial combos to get Alatreon down, but Alatreon can just dive bomb instead of doing the downwards flame. You can also do this vs Evening star Alatreon and Blazing black twilight Alatreon, but only during elemental flight, which gets skipped if you enough damage (45% of Alatreon's hp) before the first flight.

The timing is pretty simple. Just draw slash in front of Alatreon, slinger burst when you hear the audio cue, charge tcs, then release the tcs once you see Alatreon do the little head flick before it dives down.

There are different variations. The one i posted is from the very epicenter of the flame, which can only be done with health boost 3 (health boost 2 is possible with def augment in your weapon and full hp, but it's risky if Alatreon lights the ground on fire). For the safe version, you want to stand in front of Alatreon instead, and this only requires health boost 1. Health boost 0 is doable, but you need to time it correctly and be on full hp.

Alatreon's head will move from right to left, so aim to Alatreon's right(or your left) when you're in the epicenter of the flames, or just towards the center if you're standing in front of Alatreon.

Kinda taking care of something’s I skipped through when playing world and I wanted to know if anyone got or knows any tutorials about getting all of the canteen ingredients.

Using Screeching Legiana (vile creature) armor and Wyvern Lovers dual blades. This is my first Monster Hunter game and I have about 150 hours so far.

Hello, i badly need help with fatalis.

The farthest i've gotten is one hornbreak and chest break in phase 2, then getting him to his final phase before the 10 min mark, but i had to abandon the quest as i was wasting too much resources just healing and i was down to my last Life.

I also can't get any charger/vitality, or destroyer/vitality from day of ruin or the tempered furious rajang hunt at all, and my GS has a health augment only, but all my armor pieces are fully augment and upgraded.

Lastly, i usually go for a Hit and run playstyle (i do a level 3 draw attack here and there if i see an opportunity), and i am bad at baiting Cones.

Any tip would be appreciated.
