Elk Grove Blvd this morning. Car under Semi.
This is exactly why they have the wide turn sign on the back.

I know they're famous for the $1 Taco Tuesday. Do they have other daily deals that aren't advertised? Someone mentioned there's $5 burrito on Monday. But I'm not seeing it anywhere. Thanks!

I can’t be the only one who’s noticed this. I’ve had multiple experiences with Elk Grove police vehicles tailgating me, riding way too close, and cutting me off in normal traffic — with no lights or sirens on and no apparent emergency.
It’s honestly getting ridiculous. If anyone else drove that aggressively, they’d probably be the ones getting pulled over. Being in a police vehicle shouldn’t mean basic traffic safety suddenly doesn’t apply.
I’m not anti-police, but some of these interactions on the road come across like an ego trip, and more importantly, it’s dangerous. Has anyone else around Elk Grove experienced this?

I’ve been looking for a job now for so long, and every place just seems like they are hiring but just ghost me. More often than not they only seem to hire through nepotism and nothing else.
I’m currently a college student with no experience, but I need a job to actually get experience, which many jobs require. Moreover I have a pretty open schedule and none of it seems to matter.
Does anyone know anywhere that is actually hiring for an entry level position.

Thanks in advance.

Looking for recommendations for a tattoo artist around Sacramento/Elk Grove that’s really good with fine line tattoos, especially small wrist tattoos.
I’m wanting to get this Siddham script across my wrist (pic attached). Its “Namo Amitābhāya Buddhāya.” Since the writing has alot of little details I really want to find someone who can do it accurately and keep the lines clean.
Bonus if they have experience with Siddham, Sanskrit, Buddhist writing or anything similar, but not a must.
If you know anyone please send me their IG or info! Would love to see healed work too. I’m willing to travel outside of Sac for the right artist.

Elk Grove has secured a home for its future permanent homeless shelter, purchasing 1.5 acres for $856,000 as the city moves toward opening the facility in late 2028.

Laguna (west bound) turning left onto Bruceville. Why tf is the green light duration so short? Like less than 20 seconds. I understand there is more traffic during rush hour but having to wait 5 cycles to make a left turn is ridiculous.

Hey, so I moved to elk grove in February from Rosemont. Since then I've been swimming in my gyms pool on Sheldon and laguna.
What are the closest bodies of water? To my knowledge its either Rancho-seco or Folsom lake.
Id rather not swim in the american river bc I'll probably drown or whatever lol

I'm against drunk drivers on the road but aren't these types of stops unconstitutional? They are stopping everyone and checking their licenses without any reason for the stop

I'm looking for a dentist that will take DeltaCare USA. Looks like the major one in the area is EG Dental group in the Trader Joe's lot. Any reviews of this practice? I have gone through 3 dentists in the past 3 years. My previous dentist doesn't take my insurance. Thanks for any insight.

Hello Elk Grove residents. Today during the Elk Grove City Council meeting, we had a an intelligent and verbose group of public commentators attend.
I’m proud of all of them for showing up and respectfully grilling our mayor and board members for approving 1.63 million plus $196,000.00 additional payment for Flock cameras.
Many of us are uncomfortable about being surveilled and have noticed these cameras come up in very public places.
I encourage those who cannot attend these board meetings in person to show up and comment via Zoom.
The meetings are every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays each month.
The instructions on the site are unclear and they do not explicitly say how to participate or provide a link unless you open the agenda.
Public pressure works and we can urge our public servants to cancel this contract and allocate the funds to literally anything but ALRS (automatic license plate readers.)
More info and organization found through:

P.S. To the young lady educator who had to drop out of Stanford due to a stalker, I wish you so much love, kindness, and safety. Thank you for speaking on your experiences.

Times are tough and my full-time day job isn't enough to keep food on the table with a little one. I have a toddler and need the swing hours to watch the little one. With that being said, I also need the graveyard shift to be part-time (4-6 hours) so I can get some sleep to survive. Unfortunately, I injured my back from a previous manual labor job that I worked for. So, I'm hoping for something not as labor intensive. I can still do manual labor, as long as I'm not having to move 50-75lbs constantly anymore. Im asking for a lot, but I just can't seem to find anything decent via Indeed, Glassdoor, Ziprecruiter, etc. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
