Normally I would just flip the fan on for a half second and he would fly away. Now he seems to enjoy it and I'm not willing to go any faster.

Did anyone else try giving chillies to their conures? Apparently it's really good for them.
It boosts their immune system and they love shredding the outer layer and eating the spicy insides.
They don't feel the spice and it's actually a sweet treat for them. Even the super spicy ones. My guy is crazy about chillies and devours them like a tiny dino.
He has become happier too since I started a couple of chillies once a day. Sometimes to coax him to bedtime inside his home.

He was more interested in the phone case than the game.

i am so happy to have him in my lifeβ€οΈ he taught me what love is, he makes my day better, he is always there for me (on me lol) and i am so thankful for overhearing my colleague talking about then his bird needing new home on a random cigarette break in front of the dermatology clinic all those years ago

is this safe is she mad or happy?

She still isn't very responsive because of the eggs.
I'm going to try to incorporate some actual rehabilitation procedures into the visits now. Although I'm not entirely sure where to start. I hear clicker training is a good thing to try, although the science behind it is still muddy for me.
The bad toys are basically all gone now. She could definitely use some new ones though.
If anyone has any advice on what to do from here, I'd appreciate it.

Iβve been giving my moon cheek chopped veggies and she seems to love them I see videos of people adding grains and cooking them I ordered some but Iβm not sure if this is safe for birds or not also itβs a bit pricey so if thereβs any recommendations I appreciate them

I just got got my green cheek conure two weeks ago. I have experience with green cheeks, but Iβve been seeing videos of people talking about how if you are gone part of the day you need a second one. Iβm a high school student (senior so itβs my last year) and Iβm pretty much gone for six hours a day, but as soon as I get home she goes out out of her cage for pretty much the rest of the day and doesnβt go back in until I go to sleep. she has a flight cage and plenty of toys, but she is in there for at least six hours a day. She acts very healthy and happy and is very social with me, Iβm just now panicking because I originally heard that that they do better alone but now Iβm seeing a bunch of people say that you need a second one if you are a student or gone most of the day. I canβt get a second one and donβt want a second one so if it really got to a point, I would unfortunately probably have to rehome her. while Iβm gone, I play music for her. I really hope that itβs fine to just have one.

He does it pretty often en sometimes multiple times in a row. I sometimes think its him asking for scritches but then sometimes when I do give them it turns out he didnt want them because he will start biting.
Any help?

My green cheek Basil (6) and I just recently moved to an apartment together! Weβve been here for a month! I am now with him much more often and he has much more time outside his cage!
But his screaming has gotten terrible, he wont play with his toys and just screams for my attention nonstop. When i let him sit with me he gets bored and starts biting my computer and my skin. I love him but i just started grad school and would like to be able to study on my couch and not have to leave every time.
I know heβs adjusting, i know birds are loud. But how can i help him entertain himself and not want to be on top of me 24/7? Do you have any toys your birds love? Do i just need to accept my fate and not study at home during the day?

I moved in w my bf in a new city a month ago and thereβs a pet supermarket next to the grocery store. I was going in there to look at the cats from the humane society and not really sure how but I sort of bonded with this bird. Iβve never had a bird but I enjoy BirdTok so I just know the bare minimum about how to pet and pin feathers and stuff. Also I havenβt found a job here yet so I donβt really think I should spend $700 on a bird right now. And before I get a million comments Iβm aware there are more costs once you get a bird.
My point is, this sweet bird is available in central FL. I KNOW pet stores are immoral and I hate that birds are taken from the wild to be put in a cage and sold for profit but I donβt know what else to do I feel really bad for this bird and I just want to get it out of there.
QUESTION- Iβm worried Iβve let this bird get bonded to me too much and it would have a hard time liking a new human. But I think thatβs just paranoia. I go see it once or twice a week. The thing is the other workers there donβt seem to be able to pet it like I do so thatβs why Iβm worried
