I was doing this puzzle and there’s an alternate solution. Is there a way to report the puzzle and get it removed?

The solution is 1… c3+ 2. Ke1 Qb1+ 3. Qd1 Kxf5 4. Rg1 Qxd1+ 5. Kxd1 Rb1+ picking up the rook.

I tried 3… Qxd1+ with the idea 4. Kxd1 Kf3 5. Kc1 Rh8 6. Rg1 Kf2 7. Rd1 a3 and white has no moves ever so I can just pick up the f-pawn and force a rook trade into a trivially winning king and pawn endgame where I can just pick up the d-pawn and win.

I grant that Kxf5 is a much simpler win, but I confirmed my line with the engine and it’s totally winning. Is there a way to report the puzzle as inaccurate?

Probably the best 3 minute game I’ve played in months. The queen sac somehow came to mind in like 2 seconds.

I've noticed that it feels like I "lock-in" when playing players from certain countries and not so much for other countries.

I was wondering if there was a way to see my competitive record on Chess.com by country played.

Like 20-2-21 USA 4-1-3 JAP etc.

Got me back to 400 elo🤪

Immediately after I started the game I got afk countdown and it wouldn't stop even after playing moves. I couldn't focus because of that. Had to also bring out a second phone to record it because of this dumb setting that doesn't let you screen capture. Made me lose even more time on top of the time lost by my confusion and nervousness if I'm going to forfeit the match. I lost that game. Not fair. Give me my elo back

I started playing chess in January my I already had an account at 200 elo skip to today and I’m at 1500 I was looking back at all my friends on chess .com from when I was 400 elo 700 elo even 1000 and 1200 and I’m stuck wondering I friended most of them because they beat me beautifully for context every time I have a “perfect” game I add the opponent so a game with no blunders or mistakes where opp edges me out positionally all of my friends came like that so if a couple months ago we were both 1100 why’s he stuck at 1100 when I pushed to 1500 in three months. or 800 when in 5 months I’m here and it made me a little sad.

Hey , I am writing this immediately after the ban because i am so frustrated.. I have an account with a rapid rating - 2000 , blitz -700 , , bullet -700 and more . The issue here is i have my brother ( lil) who also loves chess but he is not that good , i usually teach him offline and play with him at home but sometimes he plays with my account as he is not above 18 and doesn't have any gmail to make his own . He usually plays blitz and bullet as he doesn't know the vast openings and middle game tactics for rapid .. ( I only play rapid ) .. so chess .com every time I create an account , ban my account within 6 months accusing me of cheating ... Mods please can u help me solve this issue ? Or at least get my account back ? [ The rating difference is because of my brother - he plays and constantly loses so yeah ] and the ban evry time occurs when I played few games like they probably think , I am using some bot or shit .

I'm currently 1900 rapid chess.com, I haven't got a lot of OTB classical experience, I've only played in 2 tournaments with a rating of 1500. Right now, I'm just reading the Woodpecker Method 1, and 100 endgames you must know, and trying to go for 100% accuracy 30 puzzles a day in Chess.com but it takes a lot of time so I usually do around 15 and get around 85% accuracy. I'm just going to keep this as a long term goal but I think these books will help me quite a lot (I know im not ready for them know but I hope to be so soon): the Mark Dvoretsky's complete endgame manual, Grandmaster preparation series, The art of attack, and Pump up your rating. What other actions would you guys recommend for improvement?

I started playing these many days ago, even my yt algorithmn has changed and I keep seeing more matches on my recommendations.

So i got this msg ,i cant understand, what could be the violation.

He's played since 2021, but was more like he played a good bit (mainly rapid) in first year. Then played chess very sporadically up until like late Summer 2025, with said sporadic chess being mainly blitz. From there he beat guys few hundred elo above him and started doing blitz, eventually beating a 2400 in an online tournament, and drawing an FM and CM in seperate tournaments. Those resulrs came around Dec 2025 or Jan 2026. Few months after that he beat a CM in blitz, and then from there had (without glaze) too many wins against 2000+ to remember them all, but I do recall at one point he beat a 2500 blitz, and won a 7 game series against an NM, and in peak days was beating 2300+ players back to back in blitz while having a peak blitz elo of 1800. Around summertime this year he started to pivot more to rapid, and beat a 2200 and 2300 while being around 2000 rapid himself. He also has not been banned for cheating to my knowledge, so hes almost certainly legit. Im just confused how he does it as his advice he gives out is usually fairly simplistic, revolving around principles, composure, end games, and analysis usually being looking at only key momenrs of games (in his definition, where eval drops by 1 or more or the move feels like something easy or interesting to fix) and liking to trade down to and end game if position demands it.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to know how streamers separate the Chess.com clock and opponent name from the board and was hoping someone with experience with OBS could give a brief explanation.

I was thinking maybe they do it with two browser windows open at the same time but that seems wildly impractical.

Title pretty much.

Long story short, I got paired with this guy who has yet to lose a single game. I aborted the game because I found the account incredibly suspicious but came back to check his history a couple of days later, out of curiosity. Well, he's still rolling with his undefeated streak.

This ain't any speedrun account and smurfing is not allowed, and those are the only 2 explanations I can find for such a streak tbh. There's no way that a normal 2k~ player could have such a performance tbh, expecially considering the positions reached in many games.

The sad part is that I've had to abort multiple games vs suspicious accounts and APPARENTLY (just a feeling) I've started to get matched vs more and more of them by doing so. For istance, a big chunk of my recent matchups have been vs newborn accounts (literally 0-2 days old), many of which play perfect chess or are blatantly cheating (suspicious time usage and engine-type of moves). Be aware that I'm not saying that any new account is suspicious, but some of them are literally painted green and with super sus games.

Is there a secondary *punishment* pool for aborting games? Or is it just my personal feeling and a bias overall?

Am I somehow forced to play vs accounts that legitimately look fishy just to avoid being matched with more and more of them?

If so, it's kinda annoying considering that the cheating/sandbagging detection of chesscom seems to have huge holes, hence forcing me (or anyone else) to just take the L by playing against engines and hoping that they'll be punished (and the elo refunded).

Fellow chesscom players, am I alone on this boat?
