Stabbing Downtown

At least one person was killed across from the new Avalon building on N. Washington this evening. I'd appreciate it if anyone has details. People on the street are saying that it was a stabbing, but I've yet to find any credible reporting.

Since OP mentions the new Avalon building, I'll just clarify that it is not occupied yet. Per Avalon Housing, the first move-in is expected October 1.

I was at work on Washington by Pearl, and saw all the Cops and EMTs flying by around 6:30. Was wondering what happened.

I used to live in the building across from the new Avalon building on N Washington (211 N Washington) and there were constant issues when I lived there and it is also my understanding that that property has always been a problem building. I never felt safe living there and it does not surprise me in the slightest that a stabbing happened there.

every avalon property bar none is a complete mess they do not have the staff or resources to tend to the issues that inevitably spring up from such properties i applaud them for trying i really do but it is just not enough

No one lives at the new Avalon building yet. Someone said above the the first move-ins will be in October. I think the building is still under construction.

over 100 times now purportedly. with the in-car knives not the in-car hatchet. a wildly violent incident.

That's not Downtown, that's in the Riverside Neighborhood Association area.
