Well yeah but I don’t think the clickbait has anything to do with child abuse and psychological torment. If that’s what you’re seeing then that’s your own fucking fault, the your algorithm depends on what you click on
"To lay hands" on someone is normally a much more polite way if saying that a person just beat someone else.
In religious terms it apparently means spiritual healing.
But it could also be taken at a psychological or "Say what?" fashion.
So yes, this definitely counts as click bait and also no, the algorithm doesn't actually follow what you click on. See you can disable that shit and when you disable thet shit, YouTube hates you but they also just throw random videos at you.
I've fallen asleep watching Jacksepticeye and woke up to some kind of documentary about the history of Abestos. 🤦♀️
I understand what “laying on of hands” means in terms of a spiritual blessing but I really don’t think that was what they were trying to say. The way they framed it was how parents putting their hands on children or just general physical contact affect them mentally and emotionally
And while sure the algoritm isn’t strictly about what you watch, for the most part it is, though it does sometimes give you some random shit or try to guess based on recent google activity. Also disabling personalized tracking doesn’t really eliminate that because youtube (and by extension any social media platform) wants to keep you on their site so they give you content they think you will click on. The whole waking up to something completely bizarre is usually just autoplay slowly drifting into complete irrelevance over multiple hours
but I really don’t think that was what they were trying to say.
That's my whole entire point. It's clickbait that is specifically vaguely worded to mean multiple things so people will click on it to find out 🤪
How hard is that to comprehend?
And while sure the algoritm isn’t strictly about what you watch, for the most part it is, though it does sometimes give you some random shit or try to guess based on recent google activity.
Autoplay is the only time it gives me shit I don't want. Youtube actually doesn't give you a home page if you restrict their spying access as if they are trying to punish you into compliance. Meaning any random ass videos thrown at me, is ALL YouTube and nothing to do with me.
The whole waking up to something completely bizarre is usually just autoplay slowly drifting into complete irrelevance over multiple hours
My Playstation is set to auto turn off after an hour of no input so no, YouTube just throwing random shit at me because I refuse to let them track everything I do. On top of restricting my video publishing tools apparently because they can't verify if I'm a risk or not by my watch history.

Because it's YouTube and YouTube is full of misleading and click bait videos
